Teabaggers: “Do As We Say, Not As We Do”
Gotta love those wacky teajobs and their empty soundbites. “Limited Government,” “We The People,” “if I ran my business the way the government…” — Riiight. Scratch the surface and you’ll find:
Over one billion dollars worth of earmarks requested by the Congressional Tea Party Caucus. Two-faced motherfuckers. How’s that Tree of Liberty thingy workin’ out for ya?
The 52 members of the caucus have requested a total of 764 earmarks that add up to $1,049,783,150. Cool, that “redistribution of wealth” isn’t such a bad thing after all.
The vice president of Citizens Against Government Waste called them out on their double standard:
“It's disturbing to see the Tea Party Caucus requested that much in earmarks. This is their time to put up or shut up, to be blunt. There's going to be a huge backlash if they continue to request earmarks.”
Nah. By the time the next election rolls around, the public will have long forgotten about this. Either that, or it’ll be Obama’s fault.
And here’s another example of the contempt politicians have for their constituents. The State of California has a $6 billion deficit. Meanwhile, California lawmakers have an annual $5 million car allowance. And it’s all courtesy of those lowly taxpayers whose services have been cut to the marrow.
Labels: California car allowance, California deficit, Citizens Against Government Waste, Congressional Tea Party Caucus, earmarks

Exactly right. And in the meantime, those teabaggers will go back to their states and districts and brag about the good things they're doing for the people — meaning for most of them the same dim wits who voted them into office to cut government spending for anything but wars, whatever the corporations want and the rich want, and backscatter radiation doses for hapless air travelers.
What a shame it will be if the American experiment in democracy fails because it turns out so many Americans were too stupid to know and vote in their own best interest.
The experiment has already failed. There is no longer an "if" about when this country will completely collapse, but a "when."
Thanks, Tom!
You rock.
S.W.,
I thought you meant:
"estates"
those teabaggers will go back to their states
Love you guys!

Rodger is correct and it will be much sooner than anyone would have imagined.
The fat is well and truely in the fire.
Everything is already Obama'a fault.
Americans will vote themselves into fascism if the Guardians Of Plutocracy have their way. And they always get their way.
SW: Sad but true. The experiment in democracy requires a population that's intelligent enough to know who's on their side and who isn't. It doesn't look too hopeful right now.
JR: I still like "if" better than "when," but I've always been an incurable optimist.
Suzan: Thanks.
Anonymous: "The fat is in the fire," LOL. aka "stick a fork in us, we're done." I hope not, but things don't look too encouraging.
Dave: You're right about that. If the country collapses, it'll be because of too many dumb voters who voted for their own oppression.
Re: Tea Party
We knew this was coming, as soon they became established bring on the pork
Re: California Legislators
You have to realize some of these guys have districts almost as big as some states.
I remember they used to have an American Only rule, but they changed it many years ago because wanted to buy fuel efficient cars and Detroit wasn't making them back then.
