Senator Jon Kyl Watches Child Pornography While Ejaculating on the Bible

NOTE: The above sentence was not intended to be a factual statement.

Last week Senator Jon Kyl announced that abortion is “over 90 percent of what Planned Parenthood does.” After a huge outcry, Jon Kyl’s spokesperson came back and said Kyl’s statement was not intended as a factual statement.

At the time I couldn’t think of anything to write about it, but Stephen Colbert spent several minutes making up one outrageous twisted statement after another, each one followed by a giant cue card saying “not intended to be a factual statement.”

Check it out.

I welcome Kyl's explanation because it spotlights how little regard the political right has for facts and truth. And it's not political opponents say it, but him or his staff.

"Truth, facts, what the hell? We just say things to make our point. Truth and facts don't matter; making our point does."

Oh yeah? Well Dave Vitter dresses in diapers and has prostitutes spank his ass!

Oh, and that IS a factual statement, BTW.

LOL. Nice. The sad part about that douchebag is that the lie is going to be corrected in the Congressional record. Heard that somewhere recently, but can't remember where...

J: Hope that image didn't ruin your Easter :)

Harry: Nah, Jon Kyl can show you how to party.

SW: That's exactly it. Making their point is the only objective. Whether the "facts" are true or false is irrelevant.

Erik: LOL. He must have forgotten there were a few commie Democrats and reporters present when he said it.

JR: How sad is that, when you can't even make up stuff about Vitter since it's all true.

Carlos: I hope you're right. I heard that Kyl's statement is part of the Congressional record. I assume it'll be deleted or corrected at some point though.

Factual title or not, it is one of the most gut-bustingly funny sentences I have read in a long time. Thanks, Tom!

Stephen may not be God, but I have to think he comes close. 8-)

Snave: We need Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart to help us laugh at all the absurdity.
