Koch Brothers Determined to Keep Medicaid Out of Louisiana

The Koch Brothers through their money-laundering organization Americans For Prosperity are planning to spend whatever it takes to prevent the Louisiana legislature from expanding Medicaid.  Part of this is a campaign to unseat Senator Mary Landrieu, who's up for re-election and who has worked to expand Medicaid for her poorest constituents.

And part of it is because, well, because they hate poor people; i.e. people who weren't smart enough to choose wealthy parents.

So think about it.  Two of the wealthiest people in the country are using their inherited billions to make sure Louisiana's poorest residents will NOT be able to get health insurance.

I can't think of anything dirty or profane enough to express what I think of those two cocksuckers.  What say you?

Comments are welcome the more profane the better.

Medicaid does nothing for the Koch Bros except cost them money. They don't give a shit about helping poor people. Money is their god; she and all the Kochsuckers that support them.

I just don't get why they have such a need to deprive other people of health care. I mean, they are rich as fuck, why don't they just go fuck off and enjoy their fucking money and die already. :~|

The Koch bros may have to worry about Maine. Our Governor got the state to pay $1 million to one of the Koch affiliate organizations to complete a study that concluded (surprise, surprise) expanding Medicaid would cost the state $800 million bucks over the next 10 years. His proof was shot full of holes and now he appears to be willing to compromise. We'll see.

As to how I feel about the Koch bros. - well, I think you know how I feel.

Medicaid is paid by Taxes which means us. I don't know why the Koch's would be so determined to stop it since thanks to Congress all of us posting probably pay more in taxes then they do.

Probably just a cover for a personal attack against Landrieu.

It seems if Kochs believe the Affordable Health Care Act might cause some of their buddies in the insurance industry to lose a few dollars, then they would go to bat for their buddies. Whether they're operating under false assumptions probably doesn't matter... the Kochs seem to have knee-jerk reactions to anything that looks like it might disrupt their world, and they react by pouring money into their politically retrograde projects.

It's just a shame that such a mere handful of people is simultaneously so powerful and so selfish, and apparently feels such a need to punish those who are not wealthy.

Jerry: Good description of the Kochsuckers. I hope what goes around will come around.

jadedj: I love New Orleans and the Cajun towns nearby. I haven't seen much else of Louisiana. I feel sorry for the people who are stuck living under that third world government.

Life: I like the "die" part the best.

MRM: I hope Maine's governor gets voted out. From everything I've heard and read, he's right up (or down) there was Rick Scott and the governor of Pennsylvania.

Cirze: Yup, North Carolina is in a lot of trouble too, unfortunately.

Erik: You're right, their main motive probably is to take down Landrieu, and they don't care how many destitute people go down with her.

Snave: (I guess our comments crossed in the mail). It certainly is shameful that such powerful people are using their inherited wealth to make life even worse for those people who are already marginalized.
