GOP Using Terror Threat for Campaign Fodder
You've gotta be kidding!
The 9/11 attacks happened on President George W. Bush's watch, AFTER Bush had received intelligence reports stating that Osama bin Laden was planning a terrorist attack inside the United States.
When Osama bin Laden was finally tracked down and killed, it was on President Obama's watch.
And yet the GOP is still pretending that Republicans have a better handle on foreign policy and national security. Several congressional races are featuring ads that associate the Islamic terror threat with President Obama's “weak” leadership.
Notorious chickenhawk and former Playgirl pinup Scott Brown, running for the Senate, says in a commercial:
“Radical Islamic terrorists are threatening to cause the collapse of our country. President Obama and Sen. Shaheen seem confused about the nature of the threat. Not me.”
OOOOOOHHHH!!!!
What's he gonna do, go over to Syria and start pole dancing?

How has this changed from their normal routine?
Erik
Erik: No change whatsoever. But for this upcoming election, "experts" are saying the economy will be the main issue. The terror threat is one of those "peripheral" issues that might get the GOP base all riled up (they already are anyway) but won't have any effect on the elections. So I'm glad the GOP is wasting their money on these ridiculous ads that won't accomplish anything.
It's the Koch's money to waste
Erik
Erik: True, and they've got billions. The newest Rolling Stone has a cover story on the Koch Brothers. I hope it'll reach a lot of Rolling Stone readers who don't follow the news closely or aren't political.
