Season 4 of The Americans
All right!!! This Wednesday, March 16th at 10 p.m. on FX — The Americans begins its miraculous fourth season. “Miraculous” because The Americans is one of those programs that gets sky high critical acclaim but rock bottom Nielsen ratings. “The best TV show you're not watching” and all that.
It takes place in the early '80s in a Washington D.C. suburb. Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys are two KGB agents disguised as a typical suburban American family. They're on friendly terms with their next door neighbor — an FBI agent (Noah Emmerich) whose top priority is seeking out Russian spies. Their teenage daughter (Holly Taylor) has been asking way too many questions about the family's vast network of friends and relatives — all of whom are KGB operatives.
So put a bottle or two of Русский Стандарт in the freezer and settle in for some white-knuckle suspense every Wednesday evening at 10.
Da.

Da! One of the best shows on TV in the last 10 years. The acting is fabulous, and the premise is so well-done it doesn't feel contrived. I feel like I could know these people and be completely fooled by them. It has wonderful action scenes, and some family ambiance too -- and that's hard to pull off. Check it out!
SM: Excellent description. My sentiments exactly. I sure hope the show gets a larger audience. Too many people don't know what they're missing.
