Donald Trump is NOT a Billionaire. Estimated Net Worth: $200 Million
[ahem] Now, this is not certain. But it’s based on lots of ongoing investigations by “reliable sources,” as the saying goes. If these allegations are true, then THIS is why Donald Trump is refusing to release his tax returns. It’s has nothing to do with Trump spewing out his usual arrogant “it’s none of your business!”
And it isn’t because he’s trying to hide a few more jillion-dollar bank accounts in the Cayman Islands, as the conventional wisdom would have it.
Nope. The swaggering multi-billionaire has no billions. He inherited a billion dollars, and instead of parlaying it into his own $20 billion business empire — as he constantly brags — his billion dollar inheritance has dwindled to $200 million.
It’s like Steve Martin’s old joke about “How I converted $100,000 worth of real estate into $25 cash.” Except in Trump’s case, it’s no joke. Donald Trump is a fraud. After decades of living a billionaire lifestyle — and an endless parade of business failures and bankruptcies — The Donald now has about 20% of his inheritance left.
And this is why Trump has now “reluctantly” decided to start accepting PAC money after all. Behind his swagger and super-confidence, he’s secretly shouting “Help! I need money! Pleeeeease?!?!?”
From the linked article:
“The reality of Trump’s business career is that he is not so much a great businessman but somebody who has figured out how to make money by convincing people that he is one…
The particulars of his day-to-day message, to the extent he has one, barely matter. His entire appeal rests on the bedrock of his identity as a successful entrepreneur. The vast wealth Trump claims to have amassed allows him to supposedly fund his own campaign, escaping the influence of fundraisers who control his opponents. His alleged deal-making skill explains why he will be able to improve every trade deal, solve every legislative impasse, and finesse every diplomatic conflict. Trump’s endlessly repeated proposition is that he will take the skills that made him so rich and generously use them to make the country rich. Without that, he’s just a dumber version of Pat Buchanan.”
Busted!

I figured he didn't want to put them out there because he isn't as charitable as he says he is. the fact he gives in kind donations like a round of golf and writes that off is awful.
Jess: A round of golf with Donald Trump -- it doesn't get any better than that :)
He may be worth "only" 200 million, but I suspect that there is something more in the tax returns. After all, the IRS has a reason for investigating him.
So chances are he's in the market for a job, eh?
As to golf...I don't play golf and I don't have any idea what it's like to play golf, but can you imagine playing golf for whatever amount of time it takes to play golf, with that flapping motor mouth. YIKES!
@jadedj. Samuel L jackson, Alice Cooper, Anthony Anderson and more than a few celebs have said he is a golf cheat. Not surprising though.
Jerry: I hope they find something incriminating, whatever it might be.
jadedj: I've never played golf, except for miniature golf (probably doesn't count), which I last played a few decades ago. Having to listen to Drumpf's flapping motor mouth would take the joy out of anything.
I remember reading an issue of Forbes 400 Richest Americans and in a side panel they were talking about how Donald Trump kept pestering their office demanding they put him higher on the list then the previous year. He thought he belonged near the top along with Gates and Buffet.
With that Forbes described in detail how they sent special investigators into Trump's holdings and finances and concluded he wasn't worth much more then a few 100 million, not even half a billion and was placed on the lower third of the 400.
Predictably the Donald went ballistic!

Erik: That's excellent news. I never heard about that, but it fits right in with the column I was linking to. Democrats (or anyone who doesn't want Trump for president) need to spread the word of this, and keep hammering away at it until everybody gets it. Like the columnist said, if Trump isn't a self-made billionaire and super successful businessman, then he's just a dumber version of Pat Buchanan.
I believed he was a Billionaire anyway because of those obscene Bush Tax Cuts that made of lot of Millionaires into Billionaires.
Erik
Can somebody tell me what happened to Dusty? Was she sick
Erik: That's because billionaires (especially when their money is inherited) create more jobs than mere millionaires :)
Anonymous: She passed away last December. She had been ill for a long time. She had apparently been out of touch with almost everyone she knew (online anyway) for the last few months before she died.
Thank you Tom . I appreciate it
