Paul said...: I have to add, no Democrat that I'm aware of has even introduced any legislation to start that process, or ban any guns. I haven't even heard of any movement to reinstate the AWB, which use to be the law of the land. Congress can ban certain guns without rewriting the 2nd amendment. If by some miracle the 2nd amendment was abolished, it would be like prohibition. A huge criminal network of gun sellers would develop and anyone could get a gun anyways, without the slightest background checks at all.; August 12, 2016 at 4:16 AM

Tom Harper said...: Luke: Good point -- if the 2nd Amendment were abolished, it would be Prohibition all over again, only with guns and assault weapons instead of booze. But it's moot in any case. Too many millions of Americans have guns; it would be political suicide for any politician who tried to take them away.

Anonymous said...: I don't know about Gun owners but I know who Gun Dealers would vote for President. Obama has given them 8 years of booming business every time someone spreads the rumor he's going to take away their guns. Naturally they would want Hilary.
