Elizabeth Warren to GOP: “Did you fall down, hit your head, and think you woke up in the 1950s?”
Elizabeth Warren, like every other non-teatard in the U.S., has had it up to HERE with fetus-worshiping Socialized Medicine-hatin' GOP politicians and their constant delaying, sabotaging and grandstanding. She asked them:
“Do you have any idea what year it is? Did you fall down, hit your head, and think you woke up in the 1950s? Or the 1890s?”
It was a rhetorical question, obviously.
Also, the 1890s are still too recent. The 1850s was the last decade when America was truly Free. Nigras knew their place, and them womenfolk hadn't yet started gittin' all uppity.
Heck, why not make it 850 instead of 1850? The further back, the better.

How to Marginalize Payday Lenders AND Help the Post Office
Senator Elizabeth Warren has endorsed the idea of allowing the U.S. Postal Service to replace a lot of the payday lenders that are monopolizing the poorest neighborhoods. The Post Office would use its huge already-existing infrastructure to offer debit cards and small loans to millions of low-income workers. These are the people who don't have enough money to open a bank account and are therefore at the mercy of payday loansharks.
People who don't have a bank account spend about ten percent of their income just to access their own money. In addition to saving these people billions of dollars, the Postal Service would be adding $9 billion to its own coffers.
The Postal Service would be operating in partnership with banks. Big banks' reputations are getting more and more damaged (in case they care) by their partnerships with payday lenders. Banks that work in conjunction with the Postal Service will still have as many customers as they've always had, without the PR disaster caused by their association with payday loansharks. It's a win win.
Roughly sixty percent of all post offices are located in a bank desert — a zip code that has one or zero bank branches. These are the exact neighborhoods that are easy pickin's for payday lenders and would be helped by the Post Office's new banking service.
I'm glad Elizabeth Warren is pushing this idea. She has that unbeatable combination of populism and pragmatism. No wonder Republicans hate her.

A chance to Prevent Another Wall Street Meltdown: the 21st Century Glass-Steagall Act
Senators Elizabeth Warren, Angus King, Maria Cantwell and John McCain have introduced a bill to reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act, which had been in place from the 1930s — in response to the 1929 Crash — to 1999. The Glass-Steagall Act established a firewall between commercial and investment banking, for the exact purpose of preventing a repeat of the Crash of 1929.
In 1999, Wall Street ordered its prostitutes in Congress to get rid of all these cumbersome banking regulations that were “no longer necessary.” Then-Senator Phil Gramm duly spreadeagled himself, gyrated up a storm, and rewarded his big-spending johns by repealing the Glass-Steagall Act.
Nine years later, Wall Street was rewarded with the 2008 global meltdown and a multi-trillion dollar bailout/handout from taxpayers. Mission Accomplished.
In addition to reinstating the original Glass-Steagall, the 21st Century Glass-Steagall Act is updated to prohibit the modern malignancies that led to the 2008 crash. Derivatives trading, and some of the more slippery hedge fund and private equity activities — all would be off limits to commercial banks.
Elizabeth Warren said:
“Americans want safe banks. The banks that handle their checking and savings accounts should be rock-solid secure, and they should not be juicing their profits by taking those insured deposits and insuring them in wild financial schemes.”
John McCain said:
“If enacted, the 21st Century Glass-Steagall Act would not end Too-Big-to-Fail. But, it would rebuild the wall between commercial and investment banking that was in place for over 60 years, restore confidence in the system, and reduce risk for the American taxpayer.”
With Congress being packed to the rafters with Wall Street’s skankiest prostitutes, one might think the 21st Century Glass-Steagall Act hasn’t got a prayer of becoming law. Elizabeth Warren addressed this concern:
“People said we could never get the consumer protection bureau. But we fought for it, and now we have an agency protecting consumers from credit card and mortgage scams.”
And here’s how YOU can help. Please sign this petition urging Congress to pass Elizabeth Warren’s Glass-Steagall Bill.

Lose Your Home Through Illegal Foreclosure, Receive $300 Compensation
The Justice Department sure did sock it to the banking industry. Three million victims of illegal foreclosure practices — foreclosure mills, robo-signers — will receive $300 to $500 in “compensation” for their troubles. Oh Boy!!!
OK, you’ve been compensated. Run along now.
In a related story, Senator Elizabeth Warren blasted two banking industry “regulators” for favoring banks over homeowners. The two henhouse-guarding foxes, Daniel Stipano and Richard Ashton, admitted that they had information about illegal foreclosure activities but they had withheld that information from the victims of those practices. The foreclosure victims were seeking justice in the courts and could have used this information.
The two prostitutes told Elizabeth Warren that they still hadn’t decided how much information they would provide. Hmmm, maybe there IS a case for waterboarding.
Warren told them:
“So you have made a decision to protect the banks but not a decision to tell the families who were illegally foreclosed against?…So I just want to make sure I get this straight. Families get pennies on the dollar in the settlement for having been the victims of illegal activities or mistakes in the banks’ activities. You now know individual cases where the banks violated the law and you’re not going to tell the homeowners — or at least it’s not clear yet whether or not you’re going to do that?”
Fuck waterboarding. Bring on the Chinese Bamboo Torture.
If you’re fed up with Too Big To Jail, it’s time to make your voice heard. Please click here and ask Attorney General Eric Holder and President Obama to hold Wall Street accountable by prosecuting the bankers who destroyed our economy.

The Attack of the Fifty-Foot Elizabeth Warren
Wall Street barons are getting their inbreds all riled up and scared shitless over that Comminist wealth-redistributor who’s running for the U.S. Senate in Massachusetts. If you think the GOP is the party of job creation — and you keep getting lost in your one-room apartment — then we’ve got a sca-a-a-a-ary movie for you. Break out the popcorn and Raisinettes, sit back and get ready to start screaming. Ready?
Elizabeth Warren Throws Rocks!
OOOOOHHHHH!!!! When Obama’s fascist goons came for the Wall Street CEOs, I said nothing…then when they came for me…
Wall Street is scared to death of Elizabeth Warren. They’ve instructed their prostitutes in Congress to do whatever it takes to keep her out of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau — never mind that she personally designed that agency for the purpose of preventing another 2008-style Wall Street meltdown. And Wall Street’s hookers followed their pimps’ orders right down to the letter.
Since Obama was planning to appoint Elizabeth Warren to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau during a Senate recess, the Senate responded by not taking any more recesses. Even during their six-week vacation last summer, technically they weren’t in recess. But YOU try taking a six-week vacation and then telling your boss, "Huh, no, I wasn't on vacation."
Another Wall Street prostitute, Patrick McHenry (R—Skank), was ordered to get up in Warren’s face during a hearing last May and call her a liar. Skanky did exactly as he was ordered.
Now that Elizabeth Warren is running for the Senate, Corporate America will spend whatever it takes — and stoop as low as they need to stoop — to make sure she’s defeated next year. Wall Street’s current prostitute, Scott Brown (R—Bimbo), is following his pimp’s orders just fine, thank you very much.
Hopefully Scott Brown’s infamous “Thank God” comment will be aired endlessly on every Massachusetts TV station between now and November 2012. In case you don’t know the background: Elizabeth Warren was recently asked how she supported herself during college. Referring to Scott Brown — handsome dimwitted Playgirl centerfold-cum-politician — she joked that “at least I kept my clothes on.” When Scott Brown heard about her comment, he replied “Thank God.”
Asshole.
Anyway, the 2012 Elizabeth Warren-Scott Brown campaign will probably be the mudslingingest most expensive campaign of the year, outside of the White House race. The GOP’s pitiful “Elizabeth Warren Throws Rocks” ad is just the beginning.

Most Voters Blame Bush for Recession
As dismal as Obama’s poll ratings are, a large majority still blames Dumbya for the shitty economy. Damn, the rightwing echo chamber has shat out billions of dollars worth of propaganda, and this is all they have to show for it?
According to a Quinnipiac poll, 54% of the respondents say Bush is responsible for the “current condition” of the economy. 27% blame Obama. Among independent voters, 49% blame Bush and 24% blame Obama.
And, 67% of the public wants any deal on the debt ceiling to include higher taxes for corporations and wealthy individuals, as well as reduced spending.
Aside from blaming either Bush or Obama, some Republicans have a different theory on who’s to blame. Congressman Spencer Bachus (R—Duuuhhh) says our current recession is the fault of presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson.
And Rep. Patrick McHenry (R—Wall Street Hooker) says it’s all Elizabeth Warren’s fault. After all, she created that Nazi/Communist Jackbooted Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, whose sole purpose is to bully and terrify banking executives. Those poor Wall Street shrinking violets are scared shitless to lend any money or do ANYTHING because that big mean Elizabeth Warren is glaring at them and threatening to steal their lunch money.
And since banks are afraid to lend money (because of Elizabeth Warren), businesses can’t hire any new employees and the economy will continue on its downward spiral forever.
Damn You Elizabeth Warren!
