Who Hijacked Our Country

“We're not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term”

And that about covers it.  Whatever you think of Lindsey Graham, he nailed it when he told the Washington Post:

“The demographics race we're losing badly.  We're not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term.”

But on the plus side, they're still generating plenty of angry RICH white corporations.  Nothing else matters.

U.S. Military Action Against Pakistan

That’s what was missing — the United States doesn’t have quite enough wars to get quagmired in.  Let’s see, who’s been looking at us funny — Pakistan!

Senator Lindsey Graham (R—Armchair Warrior) said the U.S. should consider military action against Pakistan if their government continues to support terrorist attacks in Afghanistan:

“The sovereign nation of Pakistan is engaging in hostile acts against the United States and our ally Afghanistan that must cease.”

He said the U.S. might need to “elevate its response” and that “all options” should be considered.

OK, time to dust off the pre-Iraq invasion playbook:  Pakistan has Weapons of Mass Destruction!  Most of the 9/11 hijackers were from Pakistan.  Etc.

Hmmm, now wasn’t there something about a huge deficit that was about to engulf the whole country?  Some sort of “crushing debt” that our great-grandchildren’s great-grandchildren will still be paying for?  An international financial crisis that was just about to derail the global economy?

Oh well, that was yesterday.  Now, suddenly we’ve got a few hundred spare billions lying around, just waiting to be used for our next invasion.

Maybe the “deficit hawks” and “Austerians” could get together with the armchair warmongers; as in “right hand, meet the left hand.”

WikiLeaks: Terrorism???

Congressman Peter King (R—Tinfoil Hat) has asked Hillary Clinton and Eric Holder to declare WikiLeaks a foreign terrorist organization. This would make the WikiLeaks founder a terrorist ringleader.

Lindsey Graham and Liz Cheney have also jumped on the bandwagon.

Either these “leaders” are too dense to tell the difference between “national security” and just plain embarrassment, or they think the public can’t tell the difference. The Nixon Administration yelped “National Security!” when Daniel Ellsberg embarrassed them with The Pentagon Papers. The more things change…

Lindsey Graham: “Shoot the Messenger!”

Most Americans are angry, horrified (but not surprised) at the information published by WikiLeaks. With all of the lives lost and the countless billions of dollars (that’s OUR money!) spent in Afghanistan, we have a right to know where our money is going and what people are dying for. If our Pakistani “allies” are secretly coordinating with the Taliban — uh, shouldn’t we know about this?

But there are a few twisted sickfucks who are pissed off for all the wrong reasons. They aren’t mad at the deception; they’re just angry that this information got leaked.

Lindsey Graham (R—CoverUp) wants to prosecute not only the people who leaked the information, but also the WikiLeaks website itself. He shat:

“I’m willing to prosecute anybody who led to undermining the war effort. As far as I know, there’s no immunity for a website to be able to pass on documents.”

Peter King (R—Slow) and Songbird McCain have also called for the prosecution of whoever leaked the information, but so far neither of them have talked about prosecuting WikiLeaks.

The Songbird said whoever leaked the information should be sentenced to life in prison.

Oh well, at least the Far Right is consistent. Don’t forget about conservatives’ uncontrollable fury when the name of a CIA operative was leaked and then got published by the late unlamented Robert Novak. Right? Don’t you remember???
