Erik Prince — VICTIM

These are tough times for conservatives. For some unfathomable reason, they’re all victims. Nobody knows why, but anyway...

They’re constantly being distorted and ridiculed and misquoted by the liberal media, even though that liberal media is owned and controlled by some of the world’s most powerful corporations.

Christians of course are persecuted mercilessly in their own country — a Christian Nation! This year’s War on Christmas promises to be more wicked than ever, what with that Kenyan Muslim terrorist in the White House and all.

It’s funny though — the cornerstone of conservative philosophy is personal responsibility. Self reliance. Whatever your problem is, quit whining about it, stop wallowing, pull yourself up and get over it. Suck it up.

And yet the people who hold this viewpoint are all victims. Oh well...

The latest victim is a True American Hero — Erik Prince. He inherited a fortune from his parents and he’s a Born Again Christian who worships fetuses. You can’t get any more American than that.

In 2007 his private mercenary company killed a bunch of them icky swarthy Iraqis. Isn’t that why we’re over there?!?!? We're Number One!! Wagons Ho!

And for his bravery, for acting above and beyond the call of duty, Erik Prince is being Persecuted! Thrown under the bus!

He founded Blackwater in 1997. Business got really good during the post-9/11 hysteria. But after Blackwater mowed down those savages in Iraq two years ago, that pansy leftwing media started whining and handwringing, and they blew the whole tiny incident way out of proportion.

Last February Prince changed the company’s name to Xe, thinking that would erase all of the infamy and controversy created by Blackwater.

Erik Prince is comparing his persecution and victimhood to that of Valerie Plame. Damn right! Take a look at some of the parallels here:

They were both born into incredibly wealthy families. They both think fetuses are sacred and that once you’re born you have no purpose whatsoever. They both went to Iraq for the purpose of killing civilians in cold blood…

My God, the similarities are incredible!

Big fucking deal. So are a lot of other people, including our military dudes and dudettes, who get paid shit to do the same work his company did for like a brazilian dollars. Fuck him.

”"The experience we've had would certainly be a disincentive to any other companies that want to step in and put their entire business at risk,"
Are you fucking kidding me? Step in? L-O fucking L!!! These peckerwoods aren’t doing this shit because they’re patriots; they’re doing it for the aforementioned brazilian dollars. The fucks. We need this kind of disincentive!

I offer Prince Dumbass the advice of the late Tupac Shakur:
"You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've/would've happened; or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the fuck on."

(And shut the fuck up)

Thrown under a bus is a good idea. What was Prince thinking when he changed the name of Blackwater to Xe did he think it was less sinister? The 2 million a month in legal fees is just loose change compared to the 1 billion a year he gets from us. What the hell is going to teach in High School? Civics, maybe.

Erik Prince is plain and simple and in no uncertain terms, a mercenary. A thug hired by countries and corporations to go and do their killing for them. If he wants respect, perhaps he should get a respectable job.

Nope. I’ll hate the fucks just as much if Obama starts using them. And Obama will get a few negative points on my scorecard.

"…just like our military is miraculously now."
Huh?

”Or they can just always recruit ACORN.”
Right on topic. Nice.

Actually, he's more than just a mercenary; in outlook (and even in appearance) this fuck is a Nazi.

But, he did provide jobs to pedophiles, rapists, and drug/steroid addicts. Somebody's got to hire 'em, I guess.

Carlos: You're right, millions of soldiers are taking the same risks as Prince, with a billionth of the pay and perks. Prince should take Tupac Shakur's advice.

Anonymous: Agreed.

Holte: Yes, changing the company's name was supposed to change everything and erase all the stigma. And still he got thrown under the bus. Life is unfair.

Anonymous, 6:56 a.m.: You're kidding, right? Yes, we can win the hearts and minds of the Agghani people by sending over a billion dollar goon squad.

Anonymous, 7:44 a.m.: Yup, some "victim." He and Cheney deserve each other.

Thomas: Haven't heard of that one, but that would be a fitting name for the new improved Blackwater.

Randal: Now that you mention it -- Oh my God!

Lew: With all the billions he's earned as a mercenary, he probably has no incentive to get a respectable job.

Bee: I guess he never heard the expression "live by the sword, die by the sword." Now he's learned it.

JR: That was a good deed on his part, providing jobs for all those poor rapists, pedophiles and steroid addicts who couldn't get jobs anywhere else.

Jess: Hard to picture him as a teacher, or what he'd be teaching. You're right, Karma will get him.

What's the matter Tom someone who people can actually emulate and look up to?

The left proves everyday that they are the ones who see color to divide the country and here's someone who is an example. But unlike your community organizer who sets up protests instead of leading by example.
Someone who actually appreciates what is achievable instead of Big Daddy will take care of you....forever!

I heard a couple of State Department people testify that Blackwater personnel had done an excellent job of protecting diplomats and other U.S. government people in Iraq. I'm sure that's true.

My problem with what Blackwater was doing in Iraq and elsewhere has nothing to do with what, if anything, its founder/CEO has for religious beliefs. IMO, that's his business. And, while I deplore thuggery where rogue employees blow away Iraqis (or other locals) first and ask questions later, I realize any sizable business will hire a few bad apples.

What does bother me about Blackwater, Xe and other such outfits is that they are performing functions that can and should be done by U.S. military or other government personnel — the kind who aren't just in it for the money, or maybe the chance to shoot those who look suspicious and get in their way. I prefer the kind sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution, and follow lawful orders from the chain of command.

It really gets off with me that so many of these positions are privatized at greatly added cost to the taxpayer.

If Prince feels victimized, I'm sure he has plenty of money with which to deaden the pain. He's had quite a ride on Uncle Sam's gravy train. Now, he should buck up and get over it.

Oh that was just so Conservative:
Here you have a guy who was in the Army which boast of having the best Affirmative Action Program in the Country, He got tax free salary, free education, free family help, free housing and when he gets out he will get subsidized housing, education,a pension and still get discounts at the PX.

But when it's for the rest of us he thinks we are lazy for wanting it.

That is a typical Conservative, someone who takes advantage of a benefit then wants to deny it to others.

Hey my example is Colin Powell who's resume and accomplishments makes this guy's pale in comparison.

SW: Blackwater (aka "Xe") symbolizes everything that sucks about privatization. It costs taxpayers a lot more money, and their tax dollars are going to an unaccountable corporation. This is the Republican Dream -- privatizing everything from highways to prisons to military operations. But it's especially hazardous when America's foreign policy is being carried out by a multi-billion dollar hit squad that answers to nobody.

And as far as Erik Prince being a victim or being "thrown under the bus" -- LOL. Mercenaries, gangsters, Mafia hitmen -- they all know that their time could be up any minute. I can't picture a Mafia goon wailing about "hey, Vinnie was trying to set me up for a hit!" It's time for Prince to lie in the bed he made.

Erik: Yup, there are just too many ironies to be counted. That video didn't show his audience so I don't know how many of them were black or white. But any white people that were cheering him on are probably the descendants of people who would have automatically hated him for being black.

And of course all the "opportunities" he kept talking about were fought for by people who would've been called Communists (or worse) by the same people who were cheering him on.

Another thing about Blackwater/Xe and similar outfits that bothers me is the fact they drain off well-trained, experienced people from our military.

Imagine you're a sergeant with four years' experience and training, making modest pay. Along comes some guy offering you five times or more money to not re-enlist and instead sign up with his private security corporation.

Every time a good troop gives up his military career to go with Xe, taxpayers lose one well-trained soldier and have to turn around and train another one. That's quite a good deal for Xe and for a few soldiers. But as usual, the taxpaying public gets screwed.

Good Point SW

Part of the "privatization" of this war courtesy of Cheny was almost all the logistical support now came from private contractors (like Kellogg, Brown and Root!) and now KP which used to be a Solder's duty is now being done by a contractor making a lot more then a solder.

I would quit and do it too if I was there.

Last year they were debating the New GI Bill (which eventually got defeated). McCain said it would encourage the solders to quit sooner to get a college education.

OK it's alright to quit to make more money with Blackwater and KB&R but not get a education?

Priorities are off base here

He obvioulsy thinks even non military are deserving of the same benifits.
I was merely stating that someone who chooses alternate ways of life should not be able to get those same benefits just for taking up space.

Nice try. Erik (and my response to his comment) was talking about the irony of a black man who's benefited from decades of civil rights legislation, pretending he accomplished everything on his own without any help from the government. 40 years ago a black politician wouldn't have been allowed to give a rousing speech, trying to get a crowd all riled up.

Now that he's benefited from civil rights legislation, he's turning on the people who made it all possible. i.e. the people who are pushing for Obama's agenda are today's counterparts to the civil rights workers of the 1960s. They're even getting called the same names by today's rednecks and wingtards.

That candidate also benefited from the fact that the military has been integrated for the last few decades. It wasn't always that way. But race relations in the military have improved, thanks to a bunch of commie America-hating leftists who pushed for change in the military.

"So what you are saying Obama could have not bcome president on his own merits?"

Jeez, do I have to walk you through all this? 40 years ago, maybe even 20 years ago, no black person could have become president. Civil rights laws, and people's changing attitudes, have made it possible for minorities to get elected to high office. If Obama was lashing out at "big government," people would be pointing out that same fact to him.

Your retired Army hero might be highly qualified, but the fact remains that 40 or 50 years ago he would have had fire hoses and police dogs turned on him for giving a fiery speech like that.
