Michele Bachmann Honors the Holocaust Victims
No no, not THAT Holocaust, silly. I mean sure, that was tragic too.
But we’re talking about the Real Holocaust — America in 2011. A once-great nation has been brought to its knees by cumbersome government regulations that stifle the country’s most productive citizens. And these movers and shakers have to watch helplessly while their hard-earned wealth gets taken from them by faceless bureaucrats and redistributed to a bunch of worthless parasites.
But these tragic victims need not suffer in silence any longer. Michele Bachmann feels their pain.
During a speech in New Hampshire yesterday, Bachmann described America’s “loss of economic liberty” as a “flash point of history.” Future generations of Americans will ask their elders WHY they did NOTHING to stop that Mad Kenyan Muslim from turning America into a communist cesspool.
She alluded to a child in Germany asking her parents why they didn’t do anything to stop the Holocaust. And then she said:
“I tell you this story…only to say, we are seeing eclipsed in front of our eyes a similar death and a similar taking away. It is this disenfranchisement that I think we have to answer to.”
She said younger Americans will be paying up to 75% of their income in taxes. And these young people will be asking us what WE were doing:
“...while watching quite literally our economic liberty pulled out from under us. The question comes down to this: what will you say to that next generation about what you did to make sure that wouldn't be their fate?”
That does it!
Well, are we just gonna sit here and let this happen??? I say it’s time we all put on our George Washington costumes, grab a few misspelled signs and storm the White House!

That idiot Bachmann was obviously born with her foot in her mouth.
This was disgusting on so many levels I have no words for it. I did, however, leave a voice mail to let her know she is a vile piece of work comparing genocide to evryone paying for infrastructure and what not. I'm going out on a limb and figure I won't be getting any return calls anytime soon from this piece of shit. She needs to apologize for this and not one of those non apology apologies, a real mea culpa.
Jess, if Bachmann is going to issue a real apology, she can get in line behind Sarah Palin, who still owes an apology for her "blood libel" remark.
If "the next generation" is going to ask us anything, it should be how we could ever have let either of these two ever get elected to anything. As far as I am concerned, the only appropriate historical parallel to be drawn here is that the world would look a lot different today if a certain political party hadn't captured a large percentage of the vote in a national election in 1933.
Jack: Both feet.
Jess: Nah, she won't apologize. She'll just keep that bug-eyed thousand yard stare and keep on spewing bullshit.
GC: LOL, she'll have to get in line behind Palin and all the other rightwing wackjobs who have spewed out one slanderous mouthful of garbage after another.
You're right about what the next generation will be asking us.
Bachmann, Palin, Coulter & Malkin.
It's amazing what looks will let you get away with.
I'll stick my plain, well educated, liberal women.
I have a feeling I'll live longer
Erik
Conservatives like to talk about economic liberty — you know, the freedom to skip going to school and instead work in a factory or mine as a child. They're all for the freedom to have "right-to-work" states, where on average people work for 15 percent less than in non-union-busting states.
Economic liberty to them is cutting costs and maximizing profits any which way a corporation wants to, no matter who gets cheated, hurt or killed. (You say it's crazy to mount a pickup's gas tanks outside the frame? You're a socialist meddler. You want pilots to get eight hours of sleep between flights, with additional time to eat and shower, etc? Outrageous interference!)
Most of all, Republicans' concept of economic liberty is that those who control the economy must always be free to screw, blue and tattoo the rest, and if it all goes bad, Big Business should be free to stick the rest with the losses.
In short, conservative Republicans demand freedom from responsibility and accountability for their friends and backers, and freedom from prosperity and economic security for everyone else.
Bachmann knows as much about economic liberty as she knows about American history.
Ah yes...Bachmann the Historian. Fucking dunce.
Erik: At this rate I'm surprised Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan aren't running for office.
SW: Good descriptions of what they mean by "economic liberty." Conservatives throw that phrase all over the place, without defining it, hoping enough dunces will lap it up and start parroting it. And they do.
Carlos: A historian and an economist. She's pretty special.
@Goodtime Charlie, nah we already know there are a buncha idjits can run and say anything and will be elected no matter what.
@Eric, hey now, some of us liberal women have been and are constantly told how hot we are, looks wise, and the brain adds more to the hotness. I'm just sayin is all :) Here are just a few:
Kirsten Gillibrand (smoking hot, see her Vogue pages for just how hot)
Michele Obama(totally hot, to get and keep PO)
Jessica ____(oh that's me in case you don't know) Been told I look like Katy Perry more than once and Shalom Harlow, I think she is a model or used to be.
Gabrielle Giffords (hot)
Kamala Harris(Attorney gen in CA)
Stephanie Miller
These are just off the top of my head right now.
Jess, if Bachmann is going to issue a real apology, she can get in line behind Sarah Palin, who still owes an apology for her "blood libel" remark.
Maybe after she gets an apology for the blame she got for causing the shooting in Tuscon.
Jess,
You know I'm being tongue and cheek about this but I know guys who will watch any of those 4, get a hard-on and then get brain dead to reason and swallow anything they say.
I'm sure you have seen all the postings conservatives put up comparing altered, candid pictures of Liberal women to the boudoir shots of theirs. There are even conservative calenders and one friend I know treasures his.
But these Conservative Fans are Horny White Males and Women of Color like Michelle Obama and Kamala Harris do nothing for them - It's outside their comfort zone. In fact, I have one friend who finds Michelle Obama too intimidating (Too much independent woman? BSDM fantasy? He wont say).
Like you, I'm from the Bay Area and I'm a lot older then you, and I remember in their younger days Barbara Boxer and Nancy Pelosi were considered really hot babes.
But they couldn't even think of getting away with the asinine statements that those four make.
Men have done it too, Dan Quayle and Ronald Reagan come to mind.
Erik
Lisa, she put crosshairs on a map and lest you forget, riled people up to such a state during the election with violence she gets no apology from any person, not person fuckin one because the bitch does not deserve it. Now I told you once, I'll tell you again, blow it out yer ass and take it on over to redstate freeperland where they like your bullshit.
@ Eric I know you were, but for some of our more stupid readers, I won't name names but Lisa, so she wouldn't be able to say the pubbies are hotter I figured I would throw out some names. After I did that, I forgot I left out another hot woman that the pubbies would just implode with. Rachel Maddow. Even as a straight woman I would go for Rachel in a heartbeat, smart good looking and funny as hell. All the traits I like in men, I also find in her. Now all the pubbies that read here will say something like, see sexuality can be changed so we can change teh gheyz back to being "normal"

Lisa, she put cross hairs on a map and lest you forget, riled people up to such a state during the election with violence
ha ha democrats put them on their maps too. They are called target areas. But I guess it was proper 5 minutes after that for MSNBC /GE owned/tax free state media to blame her before those Cross hairs were even a mention.
Jess, you forgot to add to that list of hot liberal women...well, me :)
Ah, Bachmann...the intellectual equivalent of a Hostess Ding Dong.
@ Lisa doing blabbity blabbity gibberish elvish... Those crosshairs were spoken about long, WAY long before that AZ shooting. You really need to watch more than Fox to get your information because you are totally pissing off the baby Jesus and me. Tax free state media, are you fuckin kidding me with this bullshit, when Newscorp got all kinds of tax incentives and is part owned by a Saudi prince. Can you just go away now and don't respond to me anymore. You make me feel icky, even using my energy to come up with things to say to you now. Begone now, before a house falls on your head you silly troll woman.
@Bee, I forgot about you, momentarily, but I was using people I thought of right off the top of my head and you know I am very important to myself :)
