Texas Wildfire Victims: “Fuck You Very Much Rick Perry”
No, the Texas wildfires aren’t “God’s punishment,” no matter what Michele Bachmann says. But the fires have been greatly exacerbated by Rick Perry’s twisted priorities. This year, Governor Rick Perry slashed funding for the state’s volunteer fire departments.
Texas’ volunteer fire departments were already under a huge financial strain. Rick Perry took care of that problem by reducing their funding from $30 million to $7 million. That’ll give ‘em something to whine about.
More than 100,000 acres — and more than 1,000 homes — have been destroyed by the fires that are raging across Texas as we speak. Way to go Rick Perry.
In other news: Barack Obama is “Saddam Hussein” and needs to be taken out with “the mother of all wars.” Charles Koch said that at an exclusive gathering of the Kochsuckers’ fan club.

Charlie Rose, Tom Brokaw, now Piers Morgan, all accredited members of the Drive-By Media, now nearly three years into this, saying, “Who is this guy? We don’t know who he is.” And these are the people who told us who he was during the campaign and are longing for that persona to once again surface. I think the only thing that Obama could do — speaking now to Frank Rich — Frank, the only thing Obama could do that would be convincing in that big speech next week, is to resign.

Says it all right there, thanks.
Yeah Rick Perry who do you think you are running for president you three term governor you, when we already have Obama. He knows what's important and where money should be funneled, and how to run things with all his worldly experiences and community organizing.
Lisa, go check on those fries.
Maybe Perry is what we need rather then the one term Texas Governor that pissed away a surplus and ran up a huge deficient as well as bankrupted Medicare.
Erik
hey Erik I don't disagree with that but we have bigger "fish to fry" now thanks to the State Senator and Community organizer

Wait though, has Cantor weighed in with what needs to be cut in Texas in order to fight the fires. Texan liberals I feel so badly for you having to live under this assboil for as long as you have.
The only thing dumber and more feckless than "Anonymous" comments are off-topic "Anonymous" comments.
Re: Perry cutting the budget for volunteer firefighters. Although he's spent most of his adult life in public "service," Perry knows little and couldn't care less about serving the public. He does know about cronyism and funneling money to his campaign donors. He also knows about making budget numbers look good for the tax phobic, the better to campaign on in his next election race.
But money for firefighting? In a year of exceptional heat and drought, Perry gave that the same priority George W. Bush gave warnings about an imminent al Qaeda attack in the summer of 2001. The same priority Bush gave FEMA before hurricane Katrina. Bush and Perry are cast from the same mold, and the voting majority in Texas is getting what it asked for.
Erik: Dumbya let America drown six years ago. If Perry gets elected, he'll let us all burn.
Jess: Damn right, not one cent for firefighting until we eliminate funding for job training, Social Security or one of them other welfare thangs.
SW: Good comparison between Bush ignoring the al Qaeda warning a month before 9/11 and Perry ignoring the record heat and drought conditions. I guess concepts like planning and foresight are only for libruls.
