If Nobody is Above The Law...

Meanwhile, the GOP will continue doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result:

Great point, Tom. Hillary screwed up but it's nothing compared to the massive amount of harm the Bush administration intentionally caused.

Jim: Exactly. Dumbya getting away with murder (literally) while Hillary gets crucified over an email scandal -- I hope most voters will be able to see this witch hunt for what it is.

Somebody should remind them that when Scooter Libby violated State Secretes, he was pardoned

Erik: I was really pissed about that, that Scooter Libby and Robert Novak both got away with no punishment whatsoever -- Libby for revealing the information and Novak for publishing it.

Tom, the "Hey Republicans..." cartoon certainly resonated with me. The "truthiness" is undeniable.

People are still suffering because of Bush's, Cheney's and Rumsfeld's neocon exploits in the Middle East, which obviously should be investigated for the crimes they obviously are. There must be, literally, dozens of counts worthy of prosecution.

Before that, however, a legitimate and independent investigation should be initiated around the catalyst which allowed these war criminals to have their way -- an objective and rational understanding of the events that unfolded on 9/11/2001, and the true perpetrators behind those crimes and the people behind the coverup.

Both are intrinsically connected.

JG: Agreed. When the Democrats captured the House in 2006, Nancy Pelosi talked about all the investigations they'd be doing; that they were going to "drain the swamp." For some odd reason, they never got around to it.

Just as Ford pardoned Nixon for all crimes committed against America. Ford didn't even know what the extent of Nixon's crimes were. Cheney was part of the Nixon White House. We might have found out he did something illegal and stopped his political career before he became a criminal vice-president.

Luke: Very good point. I hadn't thought of that, but you're right. Cheney was definitely a part of Nixon's administration; I think Rumsfeld was too. Who knows what diseases were allowed to fester and metastasize throughout the federal government because of Ford's pardoning of Nixon.

I agree. Furthermore, I believe the reasons for Ford's elevation to the presidency (after first being installed as vice-president) were essentially twofold: (1) obviously to pardon Nixon; and (2) his award or compensation for the work he did as a member of the deceitful and misleading Warren Commission.

Luke,
I agree. That's why we need to fully investigate and prosecute wrongdoing by elected officials, or any government workers and stop future offenses.
Of course Bush II was worse than Mrs. Clinton, but listening to Mr. Comey, Mrs. Clinton should have received some kind of discipline.

Tom,
Rummy was in the Nixon White House, so was Pat Buchanan and many more who continued to serve in government over the last 40 years. Google a list of members of Nixon's staff, it will surprise you.

TOM: That's right; I forgot about Pat Buchanan. I'm sure there are lots of other lesser-known plotters and schemers who have been lurking in the bowels of the federal government since Nixon's time.
