Stop The Recount! You Lost! Get The Fuck Over It! Move On! Die!!!

I'm referring of course to North Carolina's Far Right Biblehumping corporate-dicksucking governor, Pat McCrory.  It was a close election, but McCrory's opponent — North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper — has defeated McCrory by more than 10,000 votes.  10,000 votes is supposed to be the legal cutoff point, above which the vote is official, i.e. no recounting of the votes.

But McCrory and the rest of North Carolina's Republican Mafia are insisting that 90,000 votes in Durham County are suspicious (i.e. too many Nigras and poor people and librul college students must have slipped through the Voter Suppression machine) and need to be recounted.

North Carolina has had a Far Right legislature for a long time, but until four years ago, their Democratic governor would routinely veto the avalanches of teabagger wetdream legislation that came pouring in.  That all changed four years ago when Pat McCrory got elected.

McCrory is most infamous for signing North Carolina's Eek!  It's a Homosexual!  Keep them perverts out of the bathroom! bill.  (Governor-Elect Roy Cooper is the state attorney general who refused to defend the state's anti-LGBT law in federal courts, much to the chagrin of North Carolina's Biblehumping community.)

But McCrory is also one of the fossil fuel industry's busiest skankiest prostitutes.  For just one example:  Fracking companies are not required to disclose the chemicals used in the fracking process — chemicals that are seeping into people's water supply.  But that wasn't enough.  McCrory signed a law making it a felony for anyone to publicly reveal which chemicals are used in the fracking process.  When a fossil fuel lobbyist says Suck my dick! Pat McCrory answers How hard, Sir!?!?  Should I spit or swallow, Sir?!?!

Bill Maher nailed it 3 years ago with this description of Pat McCrory's governorship:

“North Carolina is going apeshit in a way no state ever has.  Take every crazy angry idea your drunk right-wing uncle mumbles at Thanksgiving, turn it into a law, and that’s North Carolina today.”

Thank God he's been voted out.  Governor-Elect Roy Cooper, you've got a huuuge mess to clean up.  Pat McCrory, fuck off and die!  And the slower the better.

UPDATEThe corpse that died almost four weeks ago has finally admitted he's dead.  Pat McCrory has just announced:

Despite continued questions that should be answered regarding the voting process, I personally believe that the majority of our citizens have spoken and we now should everything we can to support the 75th governor of North Carolina Roy Cooper.

Ya think???

The same can be said for the recounts and crybaby comments from liberals about the Trump win.

Anonymous: I agree. I don't like the fact that Trump won, but it's a done deal. All these recounts, petitions to get the Electoral College to vote against Trump -- none of this is going to accomplish anything. The only good thing about November 8th was that this abortional election campaign would finally be over.

Different topic, but one you have covered before: the Dakota Pipeline.

It is just sickening to see the people claiming "victory". The pipeline isn't stopped. It is just to be re-routed. Stopped long enough to study and design another way to pump oil to Americans. Nothing has changed.

Just like locally, the protests by the "Protectors" was concerned and focused about their local piece of turf as the argument, not "Climate Change".

As if things are not bad enough already.

Anonymous: I'm grateful that the Dakota Pipeline has been stopped temporarily, or will be re-routed -- even though this doesn't solve the long range problems of environmental destruction and climate change. But the racism that led up to this DAPL standoff was so blatant. The white residents of Bismark didn't want the pipeline going through their turf, so the Powers That Be responded with "Oh, OK, no problem, we'll just reroute the pipeline through some reservation land where there's just a few Injuns. What are they gonna do about it?" So this temporary victory was really heartwarming, with 300 tribes from around the world all coming to Standing Rock.

Then again, Justin Trudeau pulled the classic bait and switch by approving two huge Canadian pipelines, even though this violated his campaign promises.

These recounts are only bad when it is democrats or not republicans doing it Tom. Don't you libtards know anything about anything :) When republicans do it it's because...reasons. haven't been around your site much, way too depressing since the election for me to deal with and I had to deal with some harassment against me right after because of my otherness.

Liberal Crybaby Comments about the Trump win? At least no states FORMALLY voted to succeed as when Obama won in 2012.

Trump and Cooper should keep in mind their margins of votes don't give them a mandate.

Jess: Sorry to hear you've been harassed by Trumpoid assholes since the election. I've heard a few first-person accounts like that in the last few weeks. It's like the election results gave them license to be douchebags.

Erik: I agree with that first commenter that these recounts -- and trying to get the Electoral College to dump Trump -- are wrong regardless of which side is doing them. About 2 weeks before the election, I found out that two Washington Electors were saying they'd refuse to vote for either Trump or Hillary. That's totally wrong, and that's why more and more people want to get rid of the Electoral College all together.

You're right, I can't picture any of the blue states threatening to secede, or clamoring for the Tenth Amendment so they'll be exempt from any federal authority, etc.

Yeah it's happened more than once. First time was the day right after and luckily there was an older white guy in the gas station at the same time, told the guy in my face, you will not talk to her like that. Guy told me if it was up to him, he would start gathering people like me up and getting me deported to Mexico where I should be. Just for the record, I pass for white sometimes, but I am Puerto Rican/Indian(dot not feather) and I was born right here in California's liberal Bay Area. It's not just in the south where racism is. Second and third and and and... times well it was a little worse than the first time, fingers in my face people in my personal space telling me to go back to the middle east etc, camel jockey, towel head, wetback, spic all the words used and more. Told one woman if she got any closer to me I would break off her arm and beat her ass to death with it. the women doing it somehow make it worse and I can't put my finger on why it upsets me more.

Jess: Well that sucks. Bigotry certainly isn't just in the south. Still it's shocking to have so many redneck assholes in the Bay Area. And I agree it's more surprising and more maddening when women are the aggressive assholes.

Jess,

I was just told by a professor that in San Mateo County, a white woman approached a black woman in a CVS parking lot and told her "With Trump President we're gonna run you Niggers out of here!"

I haven't heard anything close to this since Reagan

So starts the revolution?

Tom

I understand some states don't require their electors to vote as the vote goes. I remember in 1968 a Nixon Elector voted for Wallace, not that anything changed.

Maybe Humphrey could have used it.

Erik: I didn't know this had ever happened -- an Elector voting against the winning candidate. I'm surprised that Elector wasn't on Nixon's "Enemies List." Washington State doesn't control how Electors vote. Two Washington Electors announced they wouldn't vote for either Trump or Hillary, several weeks before the election. We were all pissed as hell, since we assumed Hillary would win; but it's pretty much moot now.

Erik, I am in San Mateo county living here in Atherton. It's white central here(so they think) and people have just come out the woodwork to say things and be just nasty to us others, that this does not shock me at all.

California is just living off it's image as a progressive place, from years ago. I was so appalled, the last time I was in the Bay Area. Surfboard on top of brand new Mercedes, and EVERYONE screaming around as fast as possible. Concerned about the environment? Nothing I saw in an individuals actions.

Everywhere, people acting as if they were the coolest things on the planet. Sure, drive that Bimmer, new everything.

I marched with Chavez back in the 70s.

I was so disgusted with California the last time I went down there, I swore I'd never go back.

Now we are supposed to get all crazy because the CIA *secret*, *unnamed*, *anonymous* and oh-so familiar political commentators are telling us the Ruskies are interfering with our democracy.

They offer no proof, just relying on the good ole Amuricans to rise up in patriotic indignation to support "investigations". Post-truth investigations to further rally the party faithful.

Of course, there is no mention of the decades of direct intervention in foreign governments by the US. Hacking emails? How about assassinations of elected leaders the US didn't like? Fuck with false stories to influence voters? Nah, the US just killed the candidates.

America doesn't like the democratically elected leader of Syria, and has been arming and funding the "rebels" for years in it's goals to affect "regime change". Remember Iraq? Libya? Nicaragua, Chile, Panama, Lebanon, etc, etc, etc.

Prior to the internet, the US, via the CIA, created and funded radio stations to broadcast it's efforts to "influence" elections. In Europe, they ran Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty. In Asia they ran Radio Free Asia. For Cuba, they ran Radio Free Cuba and Radio Swan.

Listening to the pundits over the last couple of days reminds me of the extent to which Americans are fed a steady diet of self serving garbage. No wonder it has the destructive self righteous sense of entitlement we witness.
