Speech by Jeb Bush

Jeb Bush has become a laughingstock for his endless obsession (OK, it was a fetish) with Terri Schiavo.

But in this speech he lets it all hang out, bares his soul and explains his motivations and convictions. Check it out; perhaps he’s been misunderstood.

Here is one cartoonist’s view of why the Far Right has latched onto Terri Schiavo and clung to her like a pit bull.

And if you laugh at this you’re going straight to Hell, you sick #@$&#!!$&%$#!!!

*bows head in shame* that is freaking hilarious, cruel towards Terri I'll admit because she's not as dumb as the far right...no one is.

Oh.. goodness! *evil half grin*

Well.. I will say this much, given the vitality of life that she had prior to her collapse.. she just might be having a laugh about it now.. who knows?

Seriously.. Terri, rest in Peace.

Jeb Bush.. now there is a *shudder and cringe* person.. that man is just.. *shudder and cringe again* NOT right. He is a doppelganger for GW so much so that its creepy.
May he NEVER NEVER go to Washington.. or I may be forced to go Canadian

Benjamin Solah: That's true, it probably insults Terri by comparing her to those rightwing jacktards who used her for a political football.

Patricia: I'm sure Terri is better off now. Jeb Bush would be the worst possible candidate for the White House, but I don't think he has a chance. He and Frist have both done so much flipflopping and backpedaling lately, they both look like a dog on a leash. Nobody ever got into the White House with that kind of image.

Dorna!, Frstlymil: If there is such a place, everyone I know is gonna be there. The people I've known who think they're going to Heaven -- the last thing I'd ever want to do is spend eternity with them.

Gun-Toting Liberal: Let's say it was funny as heck :)

Hardigan: That's true, those articles at Whitehouse.org are almost too close to the truth to be funny. I sure hope Jeb and Frist have blown any chance for the White House. Too much backpedaling and flipflopping. I don't think the public is gonna elect somebody who looks like a dog being yanked back and forth on a short leash.

Pat Kirby: Yep, it's a dry heat. That's why I'd rather go there; Heaven is too humid.

This isn't a right or left ordeal. I'm extreme right with an extreme liberal view on this. I sided with the courts and Michael Schiavo and the Liberals, from day one.

RV: I'm glad you're on the "liberal" side on this one. I really think this issue cuts across party lines. The polls showed such a huge opposition to the DeLay/Frist media event featuring Terri Schiavo, there had to be lots of conservatives and Republicans that were against it.

Kevin: Thanks. I like that bumper sticker. Another bumper sticker I saw once was "The Agnostic's Creed: I don't know and you don't either." If everyone lived by that, there'd be a lot less hatred and bloodshed.

No doubt, Tom. This may seem weird to you people, but my own TWIN BROTHER disowned me over my stance on Terri Schiavo. Yes, 2 Okies, twins, have parted ways over a PVS patient who was never abused.

My side was that the Government (NeoCons) need to stay out of this whole ordeal. His side was that she shoudl be kept alive, she could talk, swallow, see, she was abused, she needed therapy....blah, blah, blah. He sided with all the crap that was proven wrong.....I sided with reality and 26 courts who decided a court appointed, legal guardian should keep his rights (under Florida State Statutes) to be able to take his permanently incapacitated wife off of life support. And yes, we all know a freakin' feeding tube IS life support.

I'm ebmarrassed by the GOP sometimes because these NeoCons like DeLayCO try and RULE everyone's lives.

Who cares if Michael Schiavo had kids with another woman? Florida State COnstitution doesn't say all the realistic doctors are automatically wrong and the Government can overstep their bounds if the man has children with someone else instead of wasting 15 years with an incapacitated woman.

Crap Fire, man.

RV: God, that's a drag -- family members splitting up over politics. Most of my family is a lot more conservative than I am, but we're pretty much scattered all over the country so we don't see much of each other anyway. Political discussions don't come up very often; when they do we all just sort of tiptoe around everything.

It's too bad Michael Schiavo is being dragged through the mud over this. Even if he's the biggest asshole in the world, nobody deserves to have his/her spouse go into a vegetative state. It's a personal tragedy that shouldn't be used as a political football.

Both parties have their flamers and extremists. I certainly don't agree with liberals and Democrats on everything.

I can say the same. It's rare that I agree with Libs and Dems, but lately I've foiund myself on the Liberal side of John Bolton, Tom Delay and Terri Schiavo. The Liberals have it together on those 3 issues and I stand with them....

I can say that proudly, as a Conservative Republican.

That's the Political Medium we're looking for.
