Joseph Andrew Stack — HERO???

We already have gangs of low-IQ inbreds that are calling Joseph Stack a hero. Fortunately, nobody in Congress is that sick or that stupid. Right???

Oh. Congressman Steve King (R—Sickfuck) said:

“I think if we’d abolished the IRS back when I first advocated it, he wouldn’t have a target for his airplane. And I’m still for abolishing the IRS, I’ve been for it for thirty years…I can tell you I’ve been audited by the IRS and I’ve had the sense of ‘why is the IRS in my kitchen.’ Why do they have their thumb in the middle of my back.”

It’s bad enough that assholes like this are saying Stack is a hero; or if nothing else, referring to him as a “tax protestor” instead of a murderer or terrorist. But even aside from that, how do these dickwads think we’d pay for wars and prisons if we didn't have that hated IRS?

And more rightwing idiots keep oozing out of the woodwork: Virginia State Delegate Bob Marshall has the wackiest sickest interpretation yet of the Bible. He was at a press conference, speaking out against funding for Planned Parenthood. His reasoning: God punishes women who have had abortions by giving them disabled children.

Also, his reason (using the term loosely) for being against health care reform: Obamacare is trying to take your soul.

But on the bright side:

Coming soon to Pay-Per-View — the No Holds Barred Cage Fight of the Year!!!

Bob “God Will Punish You With a Retard” Marshall vs. Sarah Palin.

What is with all these idiots and God now? It seems to me while it was bad before now it is all about if we do this then God will do that and if we don't well..you know the rest. I swear I would just one time, not have to listen to reasoning from a book from thousands of years ago and have them all come up to maybe the 20th century. We can drag them the rest of the way, once they find out living in the here an now is a good thing. As far as Marshall goes, dude answers his own cell phone in case you all were wondering. AYUP, I made the call and he told me "my words were taken out of context miss" when I asked him how does he explain first kids with disabilities. Like JR said, watch for me on a list somewhere soon :)

As for $ister $arah, Our Lady of Perpetual Victimhood(my new name for her) she won't say diddly squat you see, he was just bringing the "good news" to the people. That and , say it along with me, you know you want to:), it's ok if you are a republican.

As for Mr Stack and Mr King, I mentioned that in passing somewhere today, maybe JR's house, the minions are all riled up so you know it will get worse before it gets better. I have to admit to feeling sorry for the guy before I knew his whole deal. Now, not at all, not even a little. He was a terrorist plain and simple and the only reason he is a hero to the idiots on the right is, he doesn't have a funny sounding name or an accent. I got to thinking though, if dude has an airplane he isn't that bad off. Now come to find out he had done this before as far as not filing taxes. I yak and moan, like everyone else, but still write the damn check. The GoOpsters have let these people out, now they have to put the muzzles and leash on them.

The beatification of Joe Stack by the anti-tax movement is one of the more repellent aspects of their stupidity. Basically a tax scammer and cheat who got caught and tried to blame the results on everybody but himself. Rest assured, if he were a Muslim, or non-white, he would be labeled a terrorist and that would be the end of it.

I sympathize with the problems Mr. Stack had, and he's still a murderous piece of shit terrorist. I hope he was conscious when the flames got him.

As for KKKing.... par for the course. He, and Bachmann, and Caribou Barbie.... they are as bad as any member of al Qaeda. That's something you aren't likely to hear tonight on (place MSM outlet here,) but it's the truth.

Lew, I promise you that those teabaggers calling themselves "Oath Keepers" are admirers of Timmy McVeigh. Some of them KNEW McVeigh.

The right wing is a dangerous mix of religious fanaticism, white supremacy, and ignorance.

jadedj: The IRS makes King's salary possible. I don't know how that asshole could miss the irony. Looking forward to that Pay Per View fight.

Jess: His words were taken out of context -- LOL. That's what they all say.

I can't believe the wingnuts -- who were so hysterical about "terrorisms!" just 2 years ago -- are now able to rationalize and call this guy a "tax protester" or a hero.

Lew: If he were a member of one of those swarthy ethnic groups, everybody else in that group would be getting profiled and harassed and spied on.

JR: I agree, our own homegrown rightwing fanatics are every bit as bad as al Qaeda.

Yeah not only are some on the right calling him a hero, he had a facebook fan page for a while...not sure if they took it down or not.

Couple that with a recent Mother Jones article about Oath Takers, right wing militants opposed to the Obama Administration, and it's getting to be quite a weird stew.

When the revolution does come I have no idea who we will be fighting and what for? To allow unfettered and free market capitalism to run our lives as opposed to "big government"?

Are we going to be fighting for the right of corporations to pollute? For oil companies to drill anywhere they want?

It just makes no sense to me at all.

If you don't believe in government, as these tea bagging right wingers have made clear, then please someone tell me what the alternative is? Anarchy??

Virginia has always been chock full of crazies - we are the home of Pat Robertson & Jerry Falwell. We didn't tend so much to vote them into office - well, now that's changed, obviously. McDonnell and the likes of Marshall and others like him are just shills for Patty - the dummies here who voted for McDonnell voted for Robertson. They're just now starting to figure that out, per some of the comments in the local newspaper when McD gutted education last week.

Tom, you're so right - these people who talk about abolishing the IRS have no brain - where do they think the money comes from to fund their own projects and wars? It's like the teabaggers saying they don't want government-run healthcare in the same breath as they say "keep your hands off Medicare."

We all recognize by now the Orwellian slogans "Freedom is slavery, Ignorance is strength, and War is peace" are highly applicalble to modern America.

I would add, "Insanity is wisdom, Hatred is compassion, and Anger is virtue.

Polishifter,
The teabaggers only hate democratic run rnment. They shut up when republicans are in there doing all the damage.

I think if we'd abolished politicians back when I first advocated it, we wouldn't have a target for our scorn and then we could go back to not being drawn to such trainwrecks of human beings.

Joseph Stack was so cash strapped he flew his plane (how much do they cost?) into a IRS building, that'll show 'em.

One man's tax protester is another man's terrorist.

Is Mr. Stack a hero? Of course not. Mr. Stack was mentally ill. His actions were not those of a sound minded person, but rather of an extremely desperate, and despondent person. Have a little compassion for his family. We should get rid of the IRS. They have been given and have taken way too much power. They seemingly answer to no one, and can do pretty much anything they want, to anyone they want, without even getting a court order. There are other ways to fund "wars" and "prisons" than by taxing the wages people earn.

PoliShifter: These people who keep blubbering about "government is evil" and "we don't need the government" should back up their rhetoric. All they have to do is move out to the middle of nowhere, and be completely cut off from everybody else. Of course if they get sick or have an accident, they're out of luck; but at least there won't be any gubmint bureaucrats bothering them.

Bee: Yup, you've sure got 'em in Virginia :) But every state has them; Washington is no exception. Even the Seattle area has its share of rightwing loonies.

Mauigirl: I think these people are incapable of holding more than one thought at the same time. When they want to invade other countries or lock up millions of drug users, government is good. The IRS is our friend. When it comes to the infrastructure or any kind of social spending, government is the enemy; let's abolish the IRS. And they probably aren't even aware that they hold these 2 opposite views.

Dave: When Orwell was writing, he must have seen a vision of the "Free World" 60 years into the future. Either that, or today's oligarchs pored over 1984 and Animal Farm and said "aha, this is how we can keep manipulating the masses."

Randal: But if we didn't have a target for our scorn, what would we do?

Holte: I heard he was falling behind on his yacht payments, and the stress was just too much for him.

Kate: There are other ways to fund the government? What would that be? I know some people are pushing for a national sales tax to fund everything, but I don't see that working. Not that I'm crazy about the IRS, but I'm afraid they're a necessary evil.

I'm certainly no economist, but I think revenue can be raised by fees, charging businesses to do business, fines from law violations, interest this country loans out, tariffs, user fees, and of course there is always cut government spending.

Just don't ask me about abolishing the IRS when I'm doing my taxes. ;-) I'm below the poverty line and pay a higher percentage than most billionaires.

Seroulsly, this guy was a tax evader masquerading as a tax protestor.

Tom I would also like to point out to Kate that there was no suggestion that we not grieve for his family. I am in totally sympathy for them. His wife and child had to stand out front of their house and watch it burn down...by HIS hand. I don't understand how a man could do that to his family. Total self-centered shit. The post and our comments are in regards to certain cretins treating this lowlife as a hero. He is not.

Why are people already assuming "only right-wing nuts are calling this guy a hero" ?

I live in a very liberal college town and I overhear tons of talk from left-winged college students who are praising the guy.

From what all I see, the bulk of the students/residents were major Obama supporters and know they're thinking "even the Democrats won't bring change, they're just as horrible as the Republicans".

Therefor, they're left with a hollow feeling that there's no Party to fix things and that the entire Government, regardless of Party in charge is evil and corrupt.
