Republicans Just Love That Big Government Stimulus Money
If you haven’t seen this video (about ten minutes long) of Rachel Maddow calling out Republican hypocrites, please check it out — or bookmark it for later.
Below is a list of the Republican lawmakers (some are senators; some are congressional representatives) that she lashes out at. Every one of these shitstained pukebags has two things in common:
1. They all voted No on Obama’s federal stimulus package. And that’s not all. Their “No” votes were colored with the usual rightwing soundbites about “Socialism,” “Welfare” and “Government Tyranny!”
2. Every one of these two-faced douchebags is shown, in Rachel’s newscast, leading a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a local project that was made POSSIBLE by Obama’s stimulus package that they voted against. And they’re shown, standing there taking credit, for this federal funding that “they” brought home to their constituents.
OK, grit your teeth, hold your nose, and read 'em and weep:
Eric Cantor, VA
John McCain, AZ
Mike Johanns, NB
Glenn Thompson, PA
Phil Gingrey, GA
John Linder, GA
John Mica, FL
Frank Wolf, VA
Bill Shuster, PA
Kay Bailey Hutchison, TX
Richard Burr, NC
Kit Bond, MO
Joe Wilson, SC
Bob Bennett, UT
Pat Tiberi, OH
Mary Bono Mack, CA
Lamar Alexander, TN
Mike Castle, DE
John Boehner, OH
James Inhofe, OK
Jack Kingston, GA
John Carter, TX
As despicable and beneath contempt as these tiny-minded sick twisted motherfuckers are, there’s still one species that ranks even further down in the evolutionary ladder: the cerebrally-challenged inbred voters who elected them.

There's nothing like naming names, of course they take the credit for bring money to their district, but the TBs, if they can tolerate watching the video, will dismiss it socialist propaganda, nothing changes there, I hope that the more even handed voters take a good hard look.
What Mavericks. What Leaders of Men. What Spray-On Tans.
While we find this despicable, we have to remember that Conservatives do not experience psychological discord, nor are they capable of meta-cognition.
They only understand that things they like are good and that things they don't like are bad with narry a thought to why they like or dislike something nor whether good and bad are concepts that go beyond their attempts to reframe the world in terms of their own emotional impotence.
Turn back the Clock!
This is LBJ selling the Great Society. All the Conservatives who screamed socialism and big government!
He sold some of them on the fact that the passage means a number of jobs in their home state. then sit and chuckled as the naysayers showed up at the dedications talking about the progress and the amount of jobs and acting like it was their idea.

Last night, Maddow took it to the next level. Sen. James "Global Warming, My Ass," Inhofe's staff complained he had been wrongly quoted the previous night. Sure enough, Maddow had read a quote referring to different federal money for Oklahoma, not stimulus funds.
So, Maddow proceeded to give another, even more damning example of Inhofe outperforming in the category of conservative Republican hypocrisy (which is a level unto itself). And this one, as shown on camera, was backed up by an Oklahoma newspaper's story.
I imagine steam came out of a bunch of ears at Inhofe's office, not just because he got a double helping of comeuppance publicity, but because the previous night, his name was buried among many. Last night, his hypocrisy got special attention, all by itself.
LOL, I love it! Maddow and her staff deserve an award.
Thomas, in the way you describe and many others, they are primitives. That's not just snark; it's based on long years of observation. They've got more in common with 15th-century folk than is healthy in the 21st century. It's probably why they're only happy when they have power and are in control.
Holte: My guess is, even teabaggers like federal money pouring into their own districts. It's only "pork" and "socialism" when somebody else's district gets it.
Randal: Yup, we've got us a whole lot o' Mavericks there.
Thomas: I think you've got 'em dialed. The conservative mentality has no room for doubt, discord or shades of gray. If they're only 99% certain of something, they lash out with even more fury and venom at anyone who dares to question their "truth."
Erik: I didn't remember that about LBJ's era, that conservatives were pulling the same two-faced stunts back then. But it figures.
SW: Damn, sorry I missed that other Rachel Maddow episode. Inhofe deserves to squirm in the spotlight. Rachel Maddow does deserve an award. She's today's version of Edward R. Murrow. I read that in a comment at somebody else's blog; I can't remember who said it but it's true.
I forget who the dimwit was on one of the bobblehead shows last night or night before, actually said well yeah, as long as the money is being handed out it is okay for them to bring it to their district.
Ms Nancy P. was interviewed somewhere today, talking about a constitutional majority is 51%, if we needed 60 we should all have been voted in with 60%. She seems to have more testicular fortitude than the guy in the senate who actually has the testicles.
Rachel has been doing some really spectacular reporting lately. She always did before, but she has taken it up to another level. I wish there were more of her to go around.
Jess: You're right, Nancy Pelosi has more testicular fortitude than most males in Congress. I'm more than ready for the Democrats use reconciliation, 51% vote, on every major piece of legislation. That and recess appointments for every nominee that gets blocked by Republicans. If the Democrats don't start acting and moving forward ASAP, the public will vote them out in November.
I too wish there were more Rachel Maddows to go around.
While I can spout off about many of the issues and races being held today with the best of them, there is one thing I am having trouble with. This whole reconciliation usage. Now maybe one of you can correct this relative youngster as far as politics goes, but I was under the impression the reconciliation can only be used once a year. Is this correct or am I misunderstanding the rules? I know using it there is a sunset, like the tax cuts commander cuckoo bananas had in place, that expire this year but usage of the tool is only once a year right?
Rush Limbaugh says there's nothing wrong with being the party of "NO". I think the GOP is actually the party of NO SHAME.
Jess: I don't claim to know, but I don't think there are any limits like that to reconciliation. It's supposed to be a drastic move, and it's hardly ever used; but I think times like this call for it.
I'll leave it to somebody more knowledgeable than me to fill in the answers.
Lew: They're the party of "no shame," "no intelligence," "no principals"...

Rushpubliscums are practitioners of Newspeak, so whatever they say is the way it is-is the way it is. It doesn't really matter what anyone else says.
Erik: Colin really nailed that one.
JR: That's right, when those assholes use a word, it means exactly what they want it to mean (or whatever that phrase was from Alice In Wonderland).
Huzzah! Great post - love the roll call! Have I ever mentioned how much I detest that little Prick Cantor, from my part of the woods?
I hate'im.
Bee: Some of those people I hadn't even heard of before. But they're all little pricks if they're gonna be that sleazy and two-faced.
Great minds fall in the same ditch. :-)
