Pastor Terry Jones: Koran-Burner, Soldier-Killer, Child Pornographer

This inbred sack of putrid has already gotten more fame and publicity than he deserves. By now, the Pastor of Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, FL is almost as famous as the most ubiquitous Hollywood celebutantes.

His “church” — with somewhere between thirty and fifty members — is planning to have a Koran-burning ceremony this Saturday, September 11th. (But you already knew this.) He says he’s still praying and asking God for guidance before he decides whether or not to go through with it.

It’s pretty much a no-brainer that this will endanger American soldiers in Afghanistan. For that matter, any American who’s in any Muslim country, whether as a soldier, diplomat, aid worker, or tourist — will be in danger.

What happened to all those drooling bug-eyed rightwads who shouted in unison “You’re endangering our troops!” whenever somebody questioned the Iraqi invasion? Did they all die suddenly? (No such luck.)

And now, on to another side of Terry Jones — Terry Jones the child pornographer. Actually, it’s mostly rumors. I have no idea whether there’s any truth to this or not. Here are the websites that came up when I Googled “Terry Jones child porn.”

Ordinarily I’m against spreading malicious rumors. But in the case of this lowlife shitstain, an exception can be made.

Pastor Terry Jones likes to molest little boys in front of their parents. Pass it on.

Thom Hartmann talked about a Der Spiegel article about Terry Jones this afternoon. He also interviewed Jones but the man just spouted his idiocy and wouldn't answer any questions about his past. Actually, he basically didn't answer any questions that strayed from things he's already said, and those were his talking points about Muslims, the Cordoba Center in NYC, and burning Korans.

From what Hartmann said about the Spiegel article, it came out that Jones is a former hotel manager who somehow had a religious cult going in Germany. He treated some of the faithful as virtual slaves. Hartmann didn't go into great detail, but did say the German government investigated, determined what Jones was doing was harmful (illegal?) and deported him. Also, some of Jones' German dupes were so "spiritually abused" that they're still in therapy trying to get their head straight.

The guy is fraud, a con man and if watched closely enough, long enough, will end up in the Iron Bars Hotel where he belongs.

I can only hope this inspires all Americans of all faiths and beliefs to come together down there in Florida and show solidarity and make this man look like an idiot!

Yes even the Tea Party

Okay so we can't legally stop this jack wad. I have to wonder if he could be jailed if something bad happened to anyone of our troops. Could he be held accountable. He was warned of the consequences and intends to proceed anyway. I would love to see him in prison along side the people he deplores. Just saying.

Will it really make a difference whether he burns Korans or not? The extremists already hate us and want to kill all of us infedels. It seems "good" Muslims have had 9 years to weed out and destroy the extremists within their religion, but have failed to do so. However, they sure can weed out women who commit adultry, date outside of their religion, or don't cover their faces.

If Muslims are going to react to everything they don't like, with terroism, they don't belong in America. The minister is a NUT and Americans know that. The media has played this up way out of proportion, and have given the extremists an excuse for terrorist acts, not that they need any excuses.

I guess that's my point. The extremist Muslims don't need an excuse to commit terrorist acts against Americans.

Well he hasn't said he doesn't do that now has he? Same thing with Glenn Beck in the 90s and rape, not saying it's true but not saying it isn't either. As much as I abhor this guy and what he is doing, he has every right guranteed under our Contitution, whether we like it or not.

I just went and picked up several copies of the Koran, to take to a local mosque and let them know, not everyone wants to burn their Holy Book. I have a big problem with book burning. It just seems sacriligious to me, to destroy someone else's words. That being said, why could he not have burned Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series instead, that series sucks the big one entirely. No one wants sparkly vampires that can walk outside in sunlight, NO ONE ;)

Hey we have Palin joining in the fray and Jones wonder if the next person will be a Cleese or Gilliam, it could like a real Python sketch.

You pretty much said it all right there, Tom.

It was definitely not OK for many of us on the left to express ourselves against the Iraq war... They liked to ask us "Why do you hate America?"

Now that someone who really does seem to hate America is getting all kinds of PR he doesn't deserve, many of them seem OK with it.

So as long as you hate America for the right reasons, I guess it's OK then. Heh...

If only we paid more attention to the REAL Terry Jones and his spiritual revelation, "Life Of Brian", the nation and world would be so much better off.

And now this...

Maybe this d-bag figures he can become some kind of national religious hero/leader if he can make it look like he is single-handedly getting the NYC mosque site moved. What a great way to gazillia-tuple the size of his following!! And the best part: that it wouldn't be based on his bankrupt faith message, but rather on his politics!

Hey, I know! Let's all go to church from now on at Dove World Outreach!! Yeah!!

Sigh...

I just saw a headline about Sarah Palin joining those who are condemning the snake handler for being a complete and utter ass. I suppose even a stopped watch is right twice a day.

I wouldn't be surprised one damn bit to find out this turkey is a kiddie-porn addict...really, it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

@Snave, the Imam has said he won't be moving the mosque that isn't a mosque. Jones made all that up to make himself look good. dud had a visit from the FBI this morning and no doubt a talking to about some of his more nefarious dealings and how he could be in trouble. This is only me speculating about said visit. I guess many people did not know this was all about the mosque that isn't till this morning when they spoke to him. I mean, all we have heard for the last few weeks is how Muslims are taking over, they shouldn't build there and now some idiot decided to be crazy. Watch the wingers come back and say, well we didn't think anyone would be so crazy and do ...
Oh yeah, Newt with your whole, speechifying about churches being built in Mecca is when we should allow mosques that aren't, to be built elsewhere in USA. When mosques under construction have their construction equpiment torched, really you didn't think your followers would be crazy. Really, I find that .........plausible >insert big old eye roll right about here.

Summer: Thanks.

Lew: And I'll be damned for the same reason (as yours, not Terry Jones').

SW: A religious cult leader, that figures. He sounds like a Rev. Jim Jones wannabe. Let's hope he does check into the Iron Bars Hotel.

Erik: He's had that exact effect. Wingnuts, even Sarah Palin, are all denouncing him. Finally, we can all agree on something.

Tim: He should be held accountable for any troop losses that result from his Koran burning. Unfortunately, that's hard to prove. He definitely deserves a stint in prison.

Randal: OK, I'll pass that on.

Kate: That's true, "good" Muslims haven't said much in 9 years. But the same thing is true of good Christians. I assume they aren't represented by the Pat Robertsons and James Dobsons of the country, but they haven't said much.

There's been an almost unanimous outcry against Terry Jones, probably because of all the publicity he's generated.

Erik: True.

Jess: Hey, no blasphemy against Stephanie Meyer and Twilight :)

I live in the area where her books and movies take place. She's been a huge boon to this area, especially the town of Forks (about 60 miles from where I live). That town has transformed from a dying lumber town to a tourist mecca. I haven't read any of her books or seen any of the movies.

Pretty ironic when Sarah Palin can be the Good Cop.

Snave: That must be their reasoning, that it's OK to hate America if it's for the right reasons.

Dave: Good old Life of Brian. I saw that a long time ago; I might have to rent it again.

Snave: Interesting story. I always thought Jones would cancel this at the last minute. He's gotten his 15 minutes of fame; he can crawl back under his rock any time now.

Bee: For once, Sarah Palin can come across as the Good Cop. Or the stopped clock that's right twice a day.

Tom, really when I say don't waste your time, don't. They are so awful, I have no words to describe how really awful they are.

As of now he has cancelled his little bonfire, using extortion to say the NYC Imam will be moving the mosque that isn't. NYC Imam has said, nope that is not what is happening, what is happening is we are going to meet to discuss this. Trump has even involved himself saying he will pay 25% more than the biggest investor as long as they build it somewhere else. He was politely told nope, no sale.

Koran burning by right wing lextremists is nothing new. The only reason this became a media circus is that Republicans have so carefully cultivated hatred in their base, that creeps like Jones are respectable in Republican circles, and the Republican Reichministry of Propaganda, Fox News, publicizes them.
