Good question. This is what Bill Maher was asking a few days ago.
Prohibiting health insurance companies from canceling a patient's coverage after he/she had the nerve to get sick? Government Tyranny! Enforcing clean air regulations? Socialist Power Grab! New banking regulations which will hopefully prevent another financial meltdown? Worse than Nazi Germany!!!
The militarization and SWAT-Team-ization of America's police forces? ***crickets***

Describing the video footage of a CHP officer beating up a woman for trying to walk onto a freeway, he joked:
“Even worse, that’s their training video.”
These police brutality incidents have become such a regular occurrence, we're all numbed. Another day, another person choked to death for selling untaxed cigarettes; another SWAT team barging into someone's home for a crime that earlier would have just involved a routine police visit.
Shouldn't the Teatards have something to say about this?

The Teatards don't care as long as it is not their doors that are being knocked down.
The right wing is about punishment. They like punitive legislation that targets people who disagree with their strict ideology, or targets those who don't like their religion and the way it influences party platforms, legislation and decisions.
So... a brutal, militarized police presence, nation wide? They'd probably worship the cops for doling out so much punishment. And if the police in our country are mostly conservatives, we're really in trouble.
Getting paid to punish people is a wet dream for a lot of conservatives. I'm sure a significant number of them wholeheartedly approve of things like police brutality, for-profit prisons, etc.
I couldn't buy into the cold war many years ago as I saw no personal threat from the Russians but all kinds from my own government.
How about that,not be able to be dropped from something you are forced to buy/pay for others,which by the way thanks to the"ACA" health care are costs are set to increase dramatically in 2015.
So much for families costs going down 2500 per year.
See what happens when you put too much faith in govt? They can lie and get away with it.
And where do you see anything about the Tea Party agreeing with Police Brutality?
I guess they should pick up the phone and tell Bill Maher personally how outraged they are? otherwise if not they must agree with it.

Remember the right has always been first and foremost about Law & Order. Whether it was Rodney King or the Edmund Pettus Bridge.

Erik: But the Right only wants "Law and Order" when it comes to individuals. For VIPs and large corporations, they want the "Freedom!" to do whatever they want for whatever reason.
I've used this phrase more than once here Tom, it's torture porn they loves them some porn just don't want to be seen viewing it or talking about it. You know, it's only us nasty people that do that. That and they need big daddy to tell them what to say about it. Hell, most of them get off on it because it's mainly the brown folk being beaten and Swatted etc etc and so on, so we get back to the torture porn aspect of it and round we go again.
Jess: Yup, they need a stern father figure -- whether it's God or a beloved rightwing politician -- to lead them around by their nose-rings and punish them severely when they're bad. And they do love them some "torture porn" when a swarthy scofflaw gets out of line.
