The War on Quentin Tarantino
The Fraternal Order Of Police (FOOP) has promised a “Surprise” for Quentin Tarantino, in retaliation for Quentin Tarantino’s “War on Police Officers” — i.e. having the shameless gall to speak out against police brutality.
The only “surprise” those assholes could ever pull off would be to start answering constructive criticism with logic and reasoning instead of their usual reptilian lash-out reflex of “Ugh! Bad! Hate! War!”
Don’t hold your breath. A logical rational discussion is only possible with an IQ above freezing. If only the above-mentioned Gestapo Wannabes were smart enough not to get lost in a one-room apartment, they would have noticed that most of the public fury is directed toward specific lawless unaccountable police officers; NOT every police department.
Using the “War On Police!” logic — cracking down on drunk driving is a “War on Cars!” Prosecuting a corrupt judge is a “War on America’s Judicial System!” Etc.
The Fraternal Order Of Police doesn’t give a fuck about police brutality or the ongoing shakedown and extortion of anyone who might be Driving/Walking/Existing While Black/Brown/Different. No problem — as long as the liberal media doesn’t go sticking its nose in where it doesn’t belong, and celebrities learn to keep their mouths shut.
About fifteen years ago in the Bronx, an immigrant was approached by police officers and told to empty his pockets. When he reached into his pocket to get his wallet, they shot him 41 times. Pointblank. Bruce Springsteen wrote a song about it — “American Skin (41 Shots).”
A high-ranking NYPD spokes-bot lashed out at Bruce Springsteen by calling him a “dirt bag” and a “floating fag.”
The more things change…

I had a nasty argument with Jay Jankovich (Free)on Facebook about this yesterday. He kept claiming Q.T. was implying all cops are racist murderers. I pointed out that the director was very careful not to paint with a broad brush (even though he has a 1st amendment right to say whatever he wants).
Jim: At least he isn't quite as vulgar at your Facebook page as he used to be at your blog. I still stand by everything I said to him the last time I commented at Major Conflict (over 3 years ago). But I digress...
There's something about cops and ex-cops -- any sort of constructive criticism, even if it refers to one specific action by one rogue cop -- they turn off all thought processes and just go ballistic. I have a Facebook friend who's an ex-cop. He's generally pretty liberal, but he's always talking about how many people he's Unfriended just for saying mean things about cops. I try not to share anything "With Friends" that could be interpreted as "anti-police." So far I haven't been unfriended.
I also have a theory a lot of younger cops are ex-military and haven't completely transitioned out of that mindset.
Remember Saint Gliniewicz, cruelly murdered by #Blacklivesmatter and Thug Obama!
It's interesting to me that I live in a small city (300,000) and I have never felt our police department is out of control. That's not to say that there aren't
any bigots and self-important thugs in that department...it's just not obvious to me. Nor, am I black, so my experience may be skewed. What I have noticed is the lack of skin-headed, no-neck, gorilla muscle types in our police department. I admit that I'm profiling here, but it is so obviously that it's hard not to come to the conclusion that the superman appearance is a contributor to the killer mentality, of SOME COPS.
When claiming “Black Lives Matter” while yelling “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” to justify riots, destruction, and the murder of white police officers is a hoax based on a lie. If black lives 'really 'mattered to those who uttered those words, then nearly all of their attention would be consumed by the tragedy that the overwhelming percentage of black homicides are committed by other blacks, not by white police officers. And of course the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” mantra is simply a lie, invoking an event that never actually took place.
no excuse for them being gang members either to justify the killing of innocent children.
Maybe we should thing about cleaning up the ghettos first.
Jim: You're right, and I don't think it's an accident or coincidence. Ex-soldiers who are traumatized, shell-shocked, high-strung + militarized police departments looking for new recruits: a perfect fit.
Grung: The inside scoop -- One of Obama's Kenyan witch doctors cast a spell on Gliniewicz and voodoo-ed him into killing himself.
jadedj: Same with me. I'm white and I've never had any bad experiences with the police. (I live in a small town of about 20,000). I think the problem is that whenever there's a clearly documented case of police brutality, the entire department circles the wagons to protect "one of their own" and wage a smear campaign against anyone who complains. They spin it so that prosecuting one rogue/law-breaking cop is the same as hating all police officers and declaring a War on police departments everywhere.
Anonymous: Nice sound bite, but this same talking point has already been done and done and done. Most murders and other violent crimes are intra-racial; the perp and the victim are the same race. Everywhere. Always. So it's meaningless to use that established fact as a counter-argument. You might as well scream "the sky is blue!" or "water is wet!" instead of waging a logical argument. Regurgitating "All Lives Matter" and "most black murder victims were killed by other blacks" is just sweeping the problem under the rug.
Hear, hear, Tom!
no what you are doing is sweeping it under the table. many of the police killings were during a crime ,like the one where MB tried to grab an officer's gun.
I am not saying all, but the media is ignoring that fact as well and the fact of it is children who are getting slaughtered in the black communities.
I say QT take a ride along on a police shift in one of those communities some time.
