Citizens For A Better Arizona
Since Arizona is notorious for its teabagging KKK population, it’s nice to know the state also has some unbigoted non-rednecks who don’t want to “take their country back” to 1859.
Citizens For A Better Arizona has filed a recall petition against state Senator Russell Pearce (R—Inbred). Pearce is the author of Arizona’s infamous “Zee Papersss Pleasse” immigration law. He’s also a devoted birther and tenther.
Citizens For A Better Arizona describes itself as a “coalition of concerned citizens committed to improving the quality of life of all Arizonans.” The group has already collected 18,315 voter signatures for their recall petition; they only needed 7,756 signatures.
Russell Pearce originated the idea — dutifully carried out by his faithful dog, Sheriff Joe Arpaio — of creating tent cities for detaining illegal immigrants. He also said:
“The best thing about the immigration law is that Obama may not be visiting Arizona because we actually require papers now.”

Further proof it's wrong to condemn any group of people on the notion they're all alike.
I wonder if Pearce represents a boondocks area of the state. I've read there are people in and around major cities and places tourists flock to who are sick of their state earning a bad reputation because of clods like Pearce, Arpaio and Brewer.
Then again, Arizonans statewide keep re-electing people like Brewer and Jon "Lies for a Living" Kyl.
They actually got more signers than he had votes in his last election for his recall. Seems to me dems sitting out elections is not a good thing, so the dems in power best get to being dems again or as WI, MI and AZ are showing things will go very badly.

As for Pearce.... this guy hangs out with NAZIS, for Dog's sake. The National Alliance are his bestest pals. What kind of people would vote for this piece of shit?
Living in Georgia, which recently enacted a series of laws based on those in Arizona, I'm considering decorating my car with pro-Mexican paraphernalia just to see what happens when a cop pulls me over and finds an English-speaking White guy.

SW: Statewide, Arizonans are pretty conservative; hence Kyl, Brewer, McCain, etc. Tucson is supposed to be liberal. I don't know about Phoenix, which probably has most of the state's population.
Jess: That's encouraging -- more people signed the recall petition than voted for him. You're right, when Democrats sit out the election, it has consequences.
JR: It's hard to say which state has been hit the worst with this rightwing lockstep march. Rick Scott sounds like he's trying to out-Nazi Kasich and Walker. I hope Pearce gets voted out.

You have no Idea what it is like living in AZ, The illegal's have driven my wage down from $20.00 (in 95) to $12.00 (in 2006, yes pre recession and 10.00 an hour now!!!)Most live 2 to 3 families to a house to afford to live! I want the "American Dream" back. To live independent and on my own supporting my family like I did pre illegal boom I cant live on $10.00 an hour and support my family!! I don't want to live 20 to a house! I don't have a country to send $ back to, so I can retire paying pennies for my living compared to american prices!!!!

I see the Pearce supporters found your blog. I live in Arizona too and it's the haters who think "illegals" is an actual word who are the real problem in this state. They blame our crippled economy on the wrong people and adopt a mentality towards brown skinned folks that is akin to Germany in the 1930s. For some reason they have no problem with the wealthy power brokers who refuse to raise taxes on the rich as well as stupid lawmakers who feel that a "state gun" is far a more important law to pass than a comprehensive jobs package. Why these idiots blame hard working people who get no benefits and ignore a crooked man like Pearce who pocketed $40,000 from the Fiesta Bowl scandal is beyond me. I guess they're just stupid.
But rest assured, Pearce is on his way out, our recall has worked and he's in a fight for his political life. Good riddance too.

Why are you even commenting about AZ.? You support a group of liberal jerks that say they want to stop civil discord but yell and negate what other people say if it doesn't follow their ideal. The a** who is president of their group needs to go back to California where he is from and leave Arizonians alone. We are not liberal in this state. We need to have America for Americans who want to save our country and not roll over and take it from liberals. We like legal Mexicans but not illegal, lawbreakers that are sucking the government tit and the liberals are holding said tit and forcing the money or milk to feed them . Secure the borders and throw out those who break our laws, flaunt or laws, and take tax payers money.
