Earn up to $650 a Week, Just for Demonstrating Against Wall Street

If you hate America and everything she stands for, George Soros has a big fat paycheck for YOU.

And if you actually believe the above sentence — or the title of this post — I can get you a fantastic deal on some oceanfront property in Nebraska.

Supposedly, a liberal group called the Working Families Party has a Craigslist ad offering $350 to $650 a week for demonstrators who will “fight to hold Wall Street accountable…immediate hires…must be outgoing, articulate, dedicated, determined, and energetic communicators…”

Anybody seen Andrew Breitbart and his skanky girlfriend James O’Keefe lately?  This “exposé” has their fingerprints all over it.

I have no idea whether or not somebody is contributing money to Occupy Wall Street.  In any case, these demonstrators are reflecting the rage and frustration of tens of millions of Americans.  Three years ago, taxpayers “contributed” a trillion dollars to bail out Wall Street.  So far the bailed-out banks have used this taxpayer money to purchase more congressmen and judges, fund more Astroturf organizations and pay their senior executives record bonuses.

Three years of unarticulated fury have finally crystallized.  Occupy Wall Street isn’t going away.  It’s spreading to more cities every day.  Whether or not somebody is contributing money to Occupy Wall Street and the 99 Percent Movement — the fact remains, these organizations are reflecting the anger and fury of most Americans.

As far as being suspicious of where someone’s money is coming from — how about those huge “demonstrations” two years ago against health care reform?  Tens of thousands of hardworking everyday Americans suddenly flew into a white-hot rage at the thought of HMOs’ profits being jeopardized.

Riiight.

Labor unions, communists, “community organizers,” socialists, and anti-capitalist agitators have all joined together to “Occupy Wall Street” and protest against “greed,” corporations, and bankers. But despite efforts to portray the movement as “leaderless” or “grassroots,” billionaire financier George Soros’ fingerprints, for example, have been all over the anti-Wall Street campaign from the very beginning. And this week, the infamous hedge-fund boss publicly announced his sympathy for the protesters and their complaints about bailouts — despite the fact that he lobbied for even greater unconstitutional handouts to bankers in 2009.
Soros’ support for the protesters goes far beyond tepid public statements. In fact, the original call to “Occupy Wall Street” came from the magazine AdBusters, an “anti-consumerist” publication financed by, among other sources, the Soros-funded Tides Foundation.

Other Soros-backed outfits promoting big government — some with myriad ties to the Obama administration — such as MoveOn.org, has received millions of dollars from the billionaire banker. And now, the group is urging its supporters to join the Occupy Wall Street movement.

“Over the last two weeks, an amazing wave of protest against Wall Street and the big banks has erupted across the country,” MoveOn said in a recent e-mail to supporters, praising the “brave” demonstrators. “On Wednesday, MoveOn members will join labor and community groups in New York City for a huge march down to the protest site — the biggest yet.”

Another outfit tied to Soros called Rebuild the Dream is involved. Led by self-described communist and former Obama administration czar Van Jones, the “Dream” movement is a partnership between a host of Soros-financed “progressive” groups. Big Labor and even Planned Parenthood — the largest abortion provider in America, which receives hundreds of millions of tax dollars each year — are partners, too.

“Together, we'll add hundreds of thousands of voices of solidarity from the American Dream Movement for the protests across the country and show just how widespread outrage at the Wall Street banks really is,” MoveOn boasted in its e-mail.

Other Soros funded groups People For The American Way, Planned Parenthood, Campaign For America's Future, Democracy For America, Leadership Conference for Civil and Human Rights, Common Cause, Public Campaign, and many more are all working with JONES.

Beyond Big Labor and Soros “front groups,” as critics call them, is also a vast collection of socialist and Marxist organizations supporting the demonstrations. The Socialist Party USA, the Marxist-oriented Workers World Party, the International Committee of the Fourth International, and the Communist Party USA-affiliated People’s World are all publicly and openly backing the movement.

The “official” goals remain murky so far, almost certainly not by chance. But it is becoming increasingly apparent that liberty and honest money are not among the demands. Rather, bigger government, higher taxes, and an end to what remains of the free market system seem to be at the top of the list.

It's already been debunked all over the place Tom. O'Keefe was seen at the Wall St protest and apparently did not get any permission to be there since he is a parolee. I'm sending money there myself to their media fund and I know of many like me. You've got the usual suspects yakking that Soros is behind all of it, typically the no info peeps like Lisa and now your new cut and paste troll from the fright wing, that wouldn't know a fact if it came right up and bit them square on the ass leaving bitemarks.

Of course Soros is not behind "all of it". He just funds groups that participate and help.

Are you saying that Adbusters didn't originally make the call and that they are not financed by...

You think I am just making this up?

Another law that we should persue is full disclosure laws so that we can see exactly who is financing what. I think you will see the truth about Adbusters etc.

They will do whatever they can do discredit the OWS thing, because it represents a threat to their power and control, and their aspirations toward total control. Things were going so well with the "tea party" and all, and now THIS comes along! How awful! LOL!

It's like the right wing has stubbed it's toe, and while it has nobody to blame but itself for the toe-stubbing, it will blame everyone or anything else.

Jeannie,
So what? Would you feel better if the Koch brothers were lending their support?

Well, Jeannie has all the talking points down, and all of the unintelligent babble down.

Is Lisa sick, or are you Lisa?

Jeannie: I certainly appreciate all the trouble you went to, to copy and paste all these regurgitated talking points.

Jess: I didn't know O'Keefe was a parolee. I'm glad he finally got nailed for something.

Jeannie: I'm in favor of full disclosure laws. But the U.S. Chamber of Commerce would never permit that kind of law. Their entire purpose is to launder hundreds of millions of dollars in secret corporate donations.

Snave: The more the Right tries to smear OWS, the more clear it is that OWS is having an impact.

Jerry: Probably.

JR: LOL.

Man, this Soros cat is like Lex Luthor, Dr. Doom, and Darth Vader rolled into one. Impressive. Most impressive.

I think both Left and Right don't want full disclosure since it is usually a democrat (I watch C-Span) that argues against it when it comes up.

I hope it has an impact also but not for more government control of my life.

Yes, I would feel better if Koch Bro. was lending support because then I would think there would be a chance for freedom based solutions.

Randal: You're right, this Soros cat wants to destroy America and everything she stands for.

Tom- I think you are right. Unhappy with our 200 + year old Constitution, Hungarian born, self proclaimed King of the World and messiah, George Soros is funding [funded]Yale Law School students to come up with a spiffy brand new one and to strategize how to replace the old.

Well, at least he is doing something constructive. The republicans are just throwing the Constitution in the trash.
