That cartoon is so true. Republicans would rather score political points than save lives.

I would love to see some kind of mass legal movement in those states to sue governors who pull this kind of stunt.

Well, The Best Solution to this is the Ballot Box, but the right wing has convinced it's faithful that they are actually being saved by these actions.

Which brings the question how made do people have to get, they couldn't get mad enough at Scott or Walker to bounce them out. Will they remember the Federal Shutdown, the refusal to extend unemployment? Using their taxes to fatten the rich?

I really wonder

I think a big problem with the whole Scott Walker situation was that a lot of moderates didn't like the idea of using a recall vote to oust the governor.

Jerry: They're like Charles Colson on steroids. They'd walk over a million grandmothers just to spite Obama.

Jim: I don't if there's any legal action that could be taken. I just don't see how these rightwing politicians can keep getting re-elected when they keep stomping all over millions of their constituents.

Erik: You're right, too many voters are gullible and have short memories. And this is a big advantage for the Right.

Jim: True, Walker isn't very popular as far as I can tell; he was saved by voters who don't believe in recalls. But surviving a recall campaign can make a politician much stronger. That's what happened to Dianne Feinstein when she was mayor of San Francisco. There was a recall campaign against her, she defeated it, and she's been invincible since then.
