High Gas Prices Caused by Oil Companies and Wall Street Speculators

This is a no-brainer of course. And finally the public is seeing through all the Rightwing/Corporate smoke and mirrors. The “Drill Here Drill Now” inbreds are vastly outnumbered by people with IQs HIGHER than their shoe sizes.

According to a CNN poll, 89% of Americans blamed oil companies for higher prices. 61% said oil companies deserve “a great deal” of blame; 27% assigned “some” blame to the oil industry.

90% are blaming Wall Street speculators for higher gas prices. Speculators deserve “a great deal” of blame according to 59%; and “some” blame according to 31%.

These results cut across all political lines. A majority of Democrats, Republicans, Liberals and Conservatives all said oil companies and speculators deserve a great deal of blame. Among self-identified Tea Partiers, 40% blamed oil companies and speculators.

Meanwhile Congressional Republicans, with their ongoing devotion to “The American People,” are fighting valiantly against ALL attempts to regulate oil speculators. And they're going to make sure their oil pimps will keep getting jillions of dollars in taxpayer handouts. Aw come on, they’re just fulfilling their campaign promises to The American People.

That won't matter to the Rushpubliscums. We all know they are owned entities, so why on Earth would they change their stances?

Oil Companies don't set the price and the reason the speculators are speculating high prices is because they see our glim energy future and uncertainty that this admin has created with his attacks on energy companies with more restrictions for getting permits to drill and exploration,oh and supporting refineries in Brazil which happens to also be in the Gulf.

Oil companies do have control on the domestic supply of refined products like gasoline, and they are keeping it in short supply by shipping more and more of it overseas rather than selling it here.

And we give them billions of dollars in tax breaks to do it!

End the Oil Company welfare, NOW!

Speculators deserve so much more than "a great deal of blame." I'm thinking prison time in a cell with a 250-pound gang banger who thinks they're cute.

Here's something else that ought to cut across party lines, though: Angry condemnation for Republican crooks like Phil Gramm, who made periodic colossal ripoffs like this latest wave of oil speculation routine in America.

OK maybe not attacks on energy companies like GE who pay no taxes. But hey he's Obama's Crony so it's OK. And Brazil's oil company is Soros' .
Same game different players.

JR: The GOP is probably confident that their pimps will buy them the election in 2012. I hope they're wrong.

Lisa: I was also against Obama supporting drilling in Brazil. I don't know much about it but it's a huge talking point among rightwing bloggers. About Brazil being in the Gulf, see Carlos' comment.

Jerry: You're right, that's exactly what they're doing -- with the help of our tax dollars.

Anonymous: Yes, those poor energy companies.

SW: Prison time couldn't happen to nicer people. And Phil Gramm was definitely one of the worst ringleaders of the deregulation frenzy of the last 2 decades.

Carlos: What's this "South Atlantic Ocean" you speak of :)

Randal: HYPNOSOROS REX -- the biggest and baddest of them all.

HAHAHAHA! Lisa you are really too stupid to live, now go troll back to the bridge with you.

The hearing yesterday, in the senate, the bigwigs were asked to defend not needing subsidies when oil was 50 bucks a barrel(their own words in 2005 I believe we don't need them) now they need them when oil is at 100 bucks a barrel. Of course it's all the democrats' fault because they want this to be theatre and nothing will be done, according to the fright wing like Yertle the turtle and some others.

democrats are too ignorant to live.
They know it will never happen just like the Bush tax cuts won't. They had control for 2 years and forced that ridiculous health care bill through so they could have stopped the tax cuts too.
Just like the defense Bill they went ahead and added programs to it they knew the republicans would vote against.
The Democrats are more evil than the republicans or any company.
But being the left has more media than the right so they get to drive the message.
Just like they got Obama elected.
You can defend it all you want but its so obvious you can't hide behind it anymore.
