Chris Christie: the Right Speech for the Wrong Candidate
Chris Christie made some good points in his keynote speech at the Republican National Convention:
“You see, Mr. President — real leaders don’t follow polls. Real leaders change polls.”
Well said. But maybe he forgot which candidate he was campaigning for — Mitt Romney. “Real leaders don’t follow polls,” LOL. If Chris Christie actually meant that, WTF is he doing campaigning for the most flipflopping pandering empty suit EVER?!?
Mitt Romney is anti-abortion, pro choice, against Obamneycare, in favor of Obamneycare, in favor of clean energy, a prostitute for the oil and coal industries, against the stimulus, in favor of the stimulus, against the Wall Street bailout, in favor of the Wall Street bailout — it just depends on which audience he’s talking to.
This is “leadership???”

Christie is about Christie, period.
All I am going to say about Christie is, if Monty Python ever needs a new Mr Creosote, they have him in Chris Christie. AYUP, totally that shallow I am :)

I heard what he said about telling the truth to seniors about tough choices about Medicare and not expecting the Government to help you. So we have another politician getting an excellent Government Medical, Benefit, and Retirement Plan telling the rest of us to expect less from the same nasty government.
And he's considered too fat to be Vice President
Erik
Christie -- definitely a fat cat!
Like Jim Marquis said.
As for Romney's leadership, beyond the flip-flopping there is his record. Predatory in business, lackluster as governor of Massachusetts, there's not much to inspire confidence. I notice the convention speakers didn't spend any time elaborating on it.
Huckabee lauded Romney Wednesday night, saying he loves his wife and kids and goes to church. Swell. The same was said, truthully, about The Worst President in U.S. History™.
It's the "I got mine the hell with you" crowd.
A side note about Raw Moneys' appearance with the coal miners. All the guys in that photo op were told they had to be there and not paid for the day.
Jim: They're all just out for themselves.
Jess: Mr. Creosote, LOL.
Erik: He's mostly too fat in the head. Like you said, another taxpayer-pampered politician telling his taxpaying constituents to tighten their belts.
Jerry: Literally.
SW: The GOP slams Obama for not running on his own record, and yet Romney is hiding from his own record too. As well he should.
Demeur: That was an appalling story. I can't believe shit like that is legal.
