Say the word “Abortion,” Go to Prison
Out of all the split-personality Republicans who yell “Freedom!” while simultaneously trying to bring back the Salem Witch Trials,
Senator Jim DeMint (R—Cocksucker) might be the most schizoid of them all.
DeMint’s latest brilliant idea: A law prohibiting women and their doctors from even discussing abortion over the Internet. No doubt this is the biggest screaming priority for millions of Americans who have lost their jobs and their homes.
Needless to say, Jim DeMint’s proposal is NOT a separate bill that could be voted up or down. It’s an amendment that DeMint is sneaking into a larger bill — HR 2112 — relating to agriculture, transportation and housing. Asswipe.
You can call the U.S. Senate at 202-421-3121 and tell them to oppose Jim DeMint’s amendment (Amendment #768) to HR 2112.
Labels: abortion internet, HR 2112, Jim DeMint, Jim DeMint amendment

And DeMint is someone who Cain wants in his administration. I guess asswipes "stick" together.
Ah bless his heart. You have to hand it to them, getting the debt issues sorted and people in jobs that they can go right on waging the war on women. almost sounds like Demented wants to be lil Ricky Santorum's running mate, what with his declaration that contraception should be outlawed, because sex is just for the procreatin.
Demented is right. There's a big legal problem with this stupid idea: the First Amendment. It's unconstitutional on its face.
Of course, this is rediculous so I went to read what this was all about and guess what, there is no ban! It is only saying that the government (you and me and the rich) will not pay for it.
Jerry: DeMint is probably as racist as they get, but Cain would probably be willing to overlook that.
Jess: Jim DeMint and Rick Santorum, sittin' in a tree...
SW: According to DeMint, the sole purpose of the First Amendment is to allow corporations to bribe Congress and purchase elections.
Jeannie: I see you've got the standard Republican selectivity about tax dollars. Trillion dollar wars, the world's largest prison population -- money is no object. A woman who needs an abortion -- "hey, I'm not paying for that!"
Tom
After WWII most politicians decided that the US would have to be more involved with international affairs as self defense because there are many that want to subjugate everyone else, and if we did nothing (isolationism) they (USSR, Nazis, etc.) would take over as they were attempting (domino theory).
I suppose you don't think we should have done anything about 9/11? At least in my Constitution the responsibility of the government is to provide defense. Abortion is not in there.
Along with that is that in a free country people will choose to break the law. I don't have a problem with keeping people that will do me and mine any harm locked up.
If you read my comment on your previous post I noted how there is not and wont be enough money for all the freebies that everyone wants for a long time.
